Six places right on the Koppen classification of 'Tropical' ( ie 18c mean for every month ).... Should be noted that these sites are mostly outside of the tropics... except fot Mackay in QLD, which is well north of the Tropic of Capricorn, but nevertheless has a mild borderline tropical/subtropical climate. Which ones do you prefer climatically and which ones do you consider 'tropical' ? You may cast 6 votes for this battle, ( as in, 'is the site tropical or subtropical' ) and if you feel like it, give an explanation as to why you might or might not consider these places as 'tropical' So 3 sites in southern Florida and 3 sites in central coastal Queensland. VERO BEACH, FL: GLADSTONE, QLD: BRADETON, FL: ROCKHAMPTON, QLD: CAPE CORAL, FL: MACKAY. QLD:

All the Aussie places have true tropical climates. The Florida ones have subtropical climates. Florida is just a warmer version of southern US climates.
Mackay is the best climate here anyway.

Mind you, some of the Florida ones have warmer means..... ? Seem tropical from here ( other side of the world....)

Vero Beach is the best by far, and it's firmly subtropical. Archetypically subtropical, even.

Rockhampton is the best one IMO, I'll say it's in the high end of the "subtropical" category.

Rockhampton is the best of these for it’s dryness. Really good for somewhere tropical IMO.
As far as tropicality goes, they’re all tropical as they have means above 62°F in all months (the isotherm I classify as tropical in my system). Additionally, they’re all freeze-free in most years and all grow coconut palms, a tropical indicator.
Köppenites would consider only Cape Coral and Gladstone to be tropical.

I would consider Gladstone the only truly tropical one here; it has the warmest winters and hasn't been below freezing on record. A single record event doesn't make or break a climate classification, but a tendency to get cold in winter isn't exactly good for tropical vegetation. Gladstone is also my favorite climate here

Gladstone is my favourite out of these climates (B-): decent cool season temps, a fair amount of rainfall and not too high dews. I am not trying to start an argument about tropical vs subtropical, so I won't
