A vastly different range of climates in Northern NSW as one travels from East to West.... From the mild subtropical coasts into the lee side of the Great Dividing Ranges temperate rainforests ( yes, the lee side of the Divide is very wet as the area greatly benifits from extra tropical depressios and ECL's ( East Coast Lows ). The high country on the Divide sees snowfalls every winter, with the highest peak at Round Mountain topping 1600m asl. West of the Divide is an extensive area of Tablelands between 900m and 1200m asl that slowly drops away in altitude to the fertile mixed farming and grazing regions of the North West Slopes and Plains. Reliable rainfall drops away substantially as one travels furthur west towards the Darling River, the unofficial border between civilised NSW and the Outback. West of the Darling is simply 'Beyond the Black Stump' and 'West of Woop Woop' and extends for thousands of kilometers all the way to the Indian Ocean ! COFFS HARBOUR: The Coffs town site MO closed in 2015 and all readings are taken from the Airport since 2013. The Airport records since 2013; Max, min and rainfall: DORRIGO: Dorrigo is the wettest town in NSW. ARMIDALE: The former town site in Armidale lies in a renowned frost hollow. The Airport site is 100m higher in altitude on an open plain south of the town. NARRABRI: WALGETT: BOURKE: TIBOOBURRA: ( The remotest town in NSW ) Data from the closed Post Office site. Airport site So there you have it... the desert, the plains, the tablelands/mountains or the coast ?

Narrabri
A bit too dry for my tastes but overall a very good climate.

Narrabri for being in the "goldilocks" zones. Not too hot, not too dry and not too wet.
EDIT: Oh and not too cold like Armidale!

Armidale, Narrabri is my second favorite but itโs a bit hot for my liking.

Narrabri, for the near-perfect temps and moderate rainfall.

Armidale. Only climate on here that seems capable of the occasional snowfall. And summers aren't overly hot either.

Easily Coffs for the best temps and rainfall; whilst having a fair amount of sunshine and having the highest dews in winter
