Groveland, but it's much closer than I expected given the elevation difference. I'd almost rather pick Lee Vining for less cold rain in winter. Groveland has some pretty high winter rain averages but the rain days aren't too high. Groveland has better summers but the difference isn't huge.

Lee Vining for more even precipitation seasonality and snowfall. But Groveland has better summer temperatures.

Groveland has some pretty high winter rain averages but the rain days aren't too high. Groveland has better summers but the difference isn't huge. Groveland, like the rest of the northern/central CA foothill upslope, has insane year to year precipitation variability. Like legitimately QLD/Top End tier. Going with Lee Vining as Groveland's winter temps kind of suck ass.

Lee Vining has better temps so I'll pick it. It's too dry though. Groveland has a really high amount of rain compared to rain days.

Groveland
Crummer lows are still arctic, but it's warmer year-round and has much higher annual precipitation so it's still the clear winner here.

Groveland for warmth, more rain and less snow; despite having an excessive summer diurnal range

Groveland because it's warmer, wetter, and less snowy. As with all CA climates, I wish summers weren't so dry and that their diurnal ranges were lower.
