Here are two small, funnily named towns that mean the same thing, but are thousands of miles apart.
Weed, California has a cool temperate, somewhat snowy version of a Mediterranean climate. It is situated in far Northern California, inland near Mount Shasta.
Ganja, Azerbaijan has a warm temperate and semiarid climate. It's the 3rd largest city in Azerbaijan, and despite being inland, averages are similar to coastal Baku.

I prefer Weed to Ganja.
Ganja is too warm/dry.

Weed - great climate. Much, much less dry overcast too. I’d think their sun hours are 2700 or so.

Ganja for the pretty nice temperatures.
I like Weed's rainfall but those temps, specifically the lows, are just too cold, so Ganja wins. |
