This is ranked purely based on weather.
1. July - Warm month with generally better heat waves than August, heat is a novelty, no smoke 2. August - The other warm month, sometimes smoky in recent years 3. September - 3rd warmest month, still quite a few warm days 4. June - Similar to September, but extended spells of cool weather in meteorological summer can be frustrating 5. May - Nice spring weather, some warm spells 6. April - Some warmer and longer days, sunnier than October, plus leaves and flowers appear 7. October - Leaves change color and weather remains mild. 8. March - A nice relief from November-February, but I'm not interested in weather that's consistently colder than this 9. November - Chilly and cloudy the vast majority of days 10. December - The coldest month, but I haven't gotten that tired of winter yet so it's not the worst. 11. January - Similar to December, only with one more month since last seeing a warm and sunny day 12. February - The worst month, cold weather continuing with no signs of spring

This can change a bit depending on the exact year and my mood, but overall it looks something like this:
1. July - warmest month of the year, almost the longest days, everything's green, awesome storms. Great month overall, even in crappier years it's usually decent. 2. June - mild and very comfortable, occasional nice storms, occasional bursts of proper summer warmth toward the end of the month, very green, and longest days of the year. 3. May - mild and the start of the warm season, everything comes to life and becomes green and days are starting to get really long. 4. September - mild and cooler than the summer months, the weaker sun is appreciated after the end of summer, and we get fall colors. 5. August - nice month usually but especially toward the end it's in that awkward place where summer is waning and fall is around the corner, and I'd rather just get it over with already. 6. October - chilly but still nice, some lingering fall colors. A proper fall month that would be better in late fall. 7. April - the start of the non-freezing weather, but can be very slow to get started. Everything is usually barren, ugly, and muddy and temperatures are often disappointing. 8. March - the last of the really cold months. Longer days improve the mood. 9. December - my favorite winter month. Not quite the coldest but still pretty cold, I don't mind because it fits the mood for Christmas. 10. February - the last super cold month. Days are getting noticeably longer which is nice but it's still cold. 11. January - the coldest month, almost shortest days, and we've already had a couple months of real winter weather by the time it starts. Pretty depressing. 12. November - the days are almost their shortest, we're just plunging into the cold weather and we have many months of frigid darkness ahead of us. Very depressing.

1. December - THE best month. Beginning of semi permanent snow cover, nice short days with minimal sun and UV rays. Christmas YAY. Hunting season continues. There's no down side to December for me. 2. November - End of fall, beginning of winter yay. Thanksgiving, hunting, many days off work. LOVE November. 3. January - Snow, snow, snow. Ski, ski, ski. Love it. 4. February - Still winter, but not as good as the other months. 5. October - Peak of fall, colors on the trees, late season trout fishing, Halloween, first frosts and freezes. 6. March - Still lots of snow, but it is ending sadly. St Patricks day is nice. 7. September - Beginning of fall, summer is finally over. Leaves start to change, and cooling off commences. 8. April - Birthday month, trout fishing. Lots of rain which is meh, and thunderstorm season begins which sucks. 9. August - Hot still which sucks, but at least its about over. 10. May - Gardening season, but frosts end. Light out for so long, and the worst stretch of the year starts here. 11. July - Hot hot hot, but at least summer is halfway over. 12. June - Sunsets are SO late, it seems to also be the most humid month. Farthest from my favorite month, and the beginning of my LEAST favorite season. Peak of bad thunderstorm season, which i hate.

1. July—best weather, middle of the best season, vacation, hiking, fishing, easily the best month
2. June—guaranteed warmth, long days, late sunsets, there’s my summer trip to look forward to and the whole summer is ahead of me
3. December—one word: CHRISTMAS. Also I’m done with fall and the fresh snow is very pretty.
4. August—still very nice weather, sometimes still traveling, can do summer activities but it’s also depressing as it means summer is coming to an end
5. May—beautiful spring bloom and leaf out, starting to get nice weather, thunderstorms, summer isn’t far off and the days are getting nice and long
6. November—thanksgiving, football, first snows, beginning of Christmas season at the very end
7. October—birthday month, middle of football season, can be pretty fall colors
8. January—lots of variability, still interested in winter but days are getting longer, playoffs
9. April—spring is finally here, spring flowers are coming out, longer days, can be cold and rainy though
10. March—shitty month, I’m done with winter but it always sticks around, at least there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and there’s March Madness which saves the month
11. September—most depressing month, trees start turning brown, summer is ending, days are short, no more trips for awhile,
12. February—I fucking hate February, it’s the shortest month but feels like the longest, I’m sick of cold and snow now but there’s no end in sight, football is over, Christmas season is long gone but summer is still way too far away and it’s often even colder than January.

Best:
August (hottest month) July (sunniest month) June (warming up with the first 30°C+ days) September (first half of month is still summery with a chance of good heat waves but goes downhill from there; becoming wetter and cooler) May (mild and comfortable weather and knowing that summer is near) April (same reasons as May for the second half of month; first half is still cool and wet)
Worst:
November (complete shithouse of a month; no redeeming qualities) December (drier than November but cloudier) January (coldest month) February (sun is becoming stronger but still colder than December) March (colder than November)

I. August — Heaviest snowstorms, and the 2nd wettest month; with the greatest frequency of polar lows, likewise the highest wind-speeds of the year. August is also by far the most variable winter month, which increases the chance of thundersnow.
II. July — Heavy snowstorms, but not as epic or changeable as August. Lesser frequency of polar lows, but usually the greatest frequency of sub- 3° C (sub- 38° F) maxima, due to shorter daylight than August. Wettest month.
III. September — Extremely variable month; high frequency of polar lows, which often collide with warm-dry spells from the subtropical highs, thus making for a striking contrast between weather on a day-to-day basis. Occasionally heavy snowstorms, as well as occurences of thundersnow. One of the wettest months.
IV. June — Snowfall and precipitation not nearly as heavy as that of July or August; rather, a more drizzly type of snow that tends to be stretched-out. The most stable and least eventful winter month. Wet, but not nearly to the degree of the other winter months.
V. October — Extremely variable month, with a moderate frequency of polar lows. Heavy precipitation.
VI. May — Snowy but overly stable, with a high frequency of polar lows. Moderate precipitation.
VII. November — Extremely variable month, with the occasional polar low. Occasional storms.
VIII. December — The #No.1 most variable month of the year, with many storms. End of the wet-season.
IX. January — Highly variable, but not as variable as December or the spring months. Stormy and dry.
X. April — Excessively stable, but can receive respectable polar lows on occasion. Start of the wet-season.
XI. February — The most stable summer month, but can still be a highly variable month (all about luck)—it's a hit-or-miss. Loses major points for being prone to prolonged stretches of below-average, partly cloudy/overcast weather. #No.1 driest month, but usually stormy. Nowadays, I have been calling it Failbruary more often for a good reason; drops like a brick from January.
XII. March — Can be overly stable at times, and often in a boring manner (e.g. maxima ranging 12° to 24° C every day). Dry as a bone, with little storm activity or frontal activity.

With my climate preferences gradually changing over the recent couple of years, I've liked Perth more and more. Like it's probably an A climate and close to an A+ these days, so I don't really hate any of the months anymore (used to hate August and September) Best 1) February - overall the hottest month, it still has a seabreeze but it doesn't completely dent the afternoon heat like it does from September-December. Also by late summer it can be quite humid half of the days and it's a pretty stable month. 2) January - similar reasons to February, a bit more variable. 3) March - it's especially great in the first half with very stable patterns most years (first week or two being low 30s and sunny) before some cooler spells can develop later; it's also warmer than December 4) December - the sunniest and driest month, but also pretty affected by the seabreeze which can produce some pretty cool days in early to mid December; but past the 15th it's basically guarenteed excellent weather. 5) November - long days and it's the start and generally reliably warm weather, yeah there's a big mix of weather and some months can be entirely dominated by the seabreeze; but most of the time it's pretty great. 6) October - the first actual warming month after winter, a good mix of sun and rain with minimal cloud. Also probably our most variable month. 7) April - quite a nice month, it's very stable with days in the mid 20s and nights in the low-mid 10s. Enough warmth but the days are fairly short and the sun angle is noticeably weaker. 8) May - wet Mays are very good and interesting after summer and early autumn, dry May's albiet sunny and pleasant can be a bit boring. 9) June - pretty good, usually has the first big storms and fronts of the year. 10) July - wet, variable (conditions-wise) and can see the coldest days; also I'm not too sick of winter until late July so it's still a pretty good month. 11) August - the start of variable temperatures (if i'm lucky), also the start of noticeably stronger sun angles; overall it's still cold and wet. 12) September - the last couple of Septembers have been quite warm so I've been fine with them. Generally they're just no real improvement on August and only serve as a 4th month of winter with much longer sun hours and a lot less rainfall.

From purely a weather (and daylight) perspective:
1. September - still warm and dry, ideal outdoor weather. 2. October - usually pleasantly warm until the last 2 weeks. 3. May - spring finally arrives in full force 4. April - nice to see the gradual departure of winter 5. June - weather is nice, not a fan of the very early sunrise 6. August - usually cooler than July with later sunrises 7. July - usually quite hot - sunrise still too early 8. March - first signs of spring 9. November - boring month with endless clouds 10. February - 2nd coldest month 11. January - coldest month 12. December - more boring month with even more clouds, not enough snow

1. January: Coldest month 2. December: Cooling down quick and have January to look forward to. 3. February: Second coldest month but higher sun and only warmer weather ahead put it behind december. 4. November: temps drop off quick, finally doesn't feel like summer, lower sun angle and earlier sunsets contribute to "fall" feel even when it's warm. 5. March: Still a good chance of cool snaps and extended hot/humid stretches are rare. 6. April: Chance of cool weather to start the month but quickly goes downhill late. 7. October: Beginning of the month is essentially summer but the second half usually has the first real front of the fall, bonus of having the entire cool season ahead. 8. May: Last chance of cool snaps to begin the month. Humidity doesn't usually get too bad until late month. 9. June: longest days are nice and heat is still new, best thunderstorms happen often in this month. 10: September: Very shitty month overall but chance of hurricanes and cooler months ahead helps it 11: July: Way to hot and humid, not rainy enough, and no chance of hurricanes 12: August: Complete shitheap of a month. No redeeming qualities. Above is for Miami. I’ll do Tucson now. 1. December: Coldest month of the year and first month of winter. Good chance for snow and lows in the 20’s in the latter half of the month 2. January: Second coldest month, chance of snow, cold temps, and storm systems in good years 3. February: Third coldest month, sad that winter is drawing to the close. Seemingly the most variable month of the year with a mix of winter storms, sub-10C highs, occasional snow, and 80F+ days 4. November: Usually the first true winter storm with mountain snow, also usually has the first freeze of the year and pretty fall colors late in the month 5. March: Spring! Variable year to year, can have cold temps and winter storms but also extended 80F+ and sunny spells 6. October: First month with truly cool nights, has the potential for mild pacific storms and hurricane impacts, usually pleasant and sunny 7. April: Boring but pleasant with highs around 80F and lows around 50F. Off chance of epic late season snow such as in 1976 and 1999. 8. September: Can tell Fall is coming, cooler nights with a mix of classic sunny warm early fall weather, monsoons, hot days, and occasional tropical systems 9. August: Less hot than July with frequent monsoon storms 10. May: Dry as a bone but not miserably hot. 90/60 is the norm with endless sunshine 11. July: Hot as hell with monsoon storms. 12: June: NO. Disgusting. Scorching hot and bone dry with endless sun.

For Norman
1. April - usually decent temps, but can get anything from snow to heat to tornadoes, so it'll keep you on your toes with something interesting 2. March - like April but cooler 3. May - peak storm season 4. October - summer heat is finally over, leaves start to change at end of month 5. November - nice cool month, feels a lot like fall, but trees are bare from mid-month on 6. January - best chance for cold and snow, but too dry and windy, and the yellow grass and bare trees looks depressing 7. February - like January but less chance of snow 8. December - like January and February but less chance of snow 9. June - still storm season, but often too hot, especially late-month, at least gets long days 10. September - usually cooler than July and August, but feels like summer 11. July - too hot, humid, dry, and sunny 12. August - like July but with shorter days

1. September (comfortable, sunny, and rarely any much rainfall) 2. October (as above but can be prone to crazy thunderstorms) 3. August (like September, but can get too windy)
(not much opinion on others)
10: June (days are short, prone to some east coast lows) 11: February (very wet and humid, disgusting month) 12: March (prone to grotesque flood events and weeks end with no sun, worst month of the year by far)

1. April - mild and rainy with some warm days thrown in, good frontal thunderstorms, peak spring bloom, and the farthest you can get from wintry conditions, still having all of summer and fall to look forward to. Plus it’s the start of baseball season! Easily the best time of the year 2. May - warm and very comfortable, usually pretty sunny and on the drier side, still gets decent frontal thunderstorms 3. June - very warm and the driest summer month, so it’s the best summer month, and still most of summer to look forward to 4. July - hot, plenty of heatwave potential, and very sunny, this is beach season with ocean temps turning warm 5. September - warm and comfortable, start of football season, and a nice decrease in humidity, but wetter as August and the threat for tropical storms 6. August - hot but much more humid and wetter than July, and the threat for tropical storms 7. October - very mild, comfortable, and stable, essentially a cooler, more stable version of May 8. November - peak fall colors and football season, cool but comfortable weather and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday 9. March - can still get chilly and get some snow from time to time, but plenty of mild days as well, and the first flowers, buds, and emerald green grass 10. December - easily the best winter month, as it’s still pretty mild, rainy, and stable, plus it’s holiday season 11. February - getting towards the end of winter, the warmth of spring is only a month away and in sight, finally giving you something to look forward to, but the actual weather is often cold and snowy 12. January - like February weather but colder, and you’re far away from winter being over

I'll make another post for New Bern
1. July: The warmest month on average, with cooling T-storms to bring relief from the heat, and the heatwaves that do occur, can being epic heat index values. 2. June: Cooler and drier than July on average, but can get plenty hot at times with nicely long days. 3. August: The least windy month on average. Still reliably warm and summery, but this is where the Atlantic hurricane season ramps up, and heatwave/T-storm quality decreases from June/July and solar angles begin to get noticeably lower (bad). 4. May: A mix of cool, dry days and warmer, more summery days and that's usually where the first >=90°F highs occur. More often than not feels summery towards the end of the month. 5. April: The windiest month on average. As springlike as it gets, alternating between warm, dry days with highs in the 70s/80s and cooler, wetter days mixed in, but quite sunny overall. 6. September: Still warm and summery in the beginning, with the hurricane season peaking that time. Except in the warmest Septembers, would get shots of cool, fall like weather by the end of the month. 7. October: Still fairly comfortable the majority of time, but the first cold nights with lows in the 30s/40s occur by this time. This is where fall foliage begins to appear. 8. March: Winter loses its grip, with warm weather more often than not towards the end. 9. February: This is where temps begin to warm up, and solar angles become noticeably higher than in Dec/Jan. 10. November: Can occasionally get warmth, but this is where you get the first taste of winter. Peak fall foliage occurs in the first half of the month. 11. January: Saved from the bottom rank (but close to Dickcember) because that's where average temps stop falling, and solar angles begin to go up again. The coldest month. 12. December: Temps still going down, and the sun is at its weakest. You're furthest away from warmer temps.
This only factors in the weather, and doesn't take into consideration other factors (e.g. Christmas, New Year's and the holiday season).

1- July: Coldest and driest month, highest chance of snow.
2- June: Longest nights and getting colder. Slightly warmer than July
3- May: Dry and sunny days with high diurnal temperature ranges. Thunderstorms become less common.
4- August: Getting wetter and warmer but temperatures are still cool
5- April: Mild and moderately dry weather
6- March: Warm weather with moderate rainfall
7 - September: Dull weather but comfortable temperatures
8- December: Hot and rainy but Christmas time makes up for it
9- October: Thunderstorms start to happen again after they stopped happening in May/June
10- February: Hot and stormy, but getting better
11- November: Warm and stormy weather
12- January: Apocalyptic thunderstorms and scorching heat.

I’ll do Fort Collins and purely weather based (how much I enjoy each month depends on many other factors)
1. March. March is really good here, nice and mild but still quite variable and is typically the snowiest month, very close to my ideal.
2. April. Also a really good month, nice and variable but mild on average and still snowy. Could use a bit more snow though.
3. October. Also quite good, very pleasant temps and usually dry. Only issue is snow could be more reliable.
T-4. February. The winter months are all pretty equivalent. Prone to stuck patterns though and could use more snow so not as good as the other months.
T-4. January. Same issues as February but quite good overall.
T-4. December. See January.
7. November. Perhaps this ranking is biased but the Novembers I’ve been here have either been very mild and snowless or cold and stable. Averages are pretty good though, just a bit cool and dry.
8. May. Usually a good month but it’s too warm on average, snow is too unreliable and the needs more thunderstorms instead of regular rain. I like that it’s the wettest month though and is capable of snow.
9. September. Now we get into months I have more than minor complaints about. I like how dry it is but it’s too prone to heat, especially in recent years. Consistent 70s would be nicer than the all too common 80s.
10. June. Too hot but cooler than the other summer months. Haven’t experienced a June here so not sure how the storms are which could change the ranking.
11. July. Too hot and stable but more capable of 100 f remos and gets more storms than August.
12. August. Too hot, too stable, not enough storms. At this point I want it to cool down.

Month and Description:
JANUARY - Fanbloodytastic, monsoon in full swing, about 25 wet days out of 31. So cloudy one has to turn on the hot water booster. FEBRUARY - Mostly fanbloodytastic monsoonal month, although during a 'break' period can be shithously 'build up' like. MARCH - Still monsoonal, but transitioning into knock 'em down' storms season, still pretty good. APRIL - Transitions between pretty good and pretty shithouse re heat and humidity, countryside still lush and green. MAY - Sorta ok, early in the month is still hot, but the signs are all there re the dry season, sunny days, the first sub 20c mins. JUNE - Fanbloodytasic, the dry season, not a cloud in the sky, 20c/32c sunny days, low dp's and humidity, welcome change from the heat. JULY - Excellent ! peak dry season, locals bring out hoodies and ugg boots as temps dip to 15c-19c mins and 28c-32c maxs. AUGUST - An ok month, but the countryside looks as dry as a dead dingos donger; locals start perusing the models for the first storms... SEPTEMBER - Sorta ok, but often hot, dry and windy with extreme fire danger, suburbs look like the Simpson Desert, not a blade of green grass. OCTOBER - the first official COAM ( of a month ) extreme heat , humidity, DP's, mango madness season, people going 'troppo'. First storms. NOVEMBER - Another grade 'A' COAM; worse than Oct. Except the build up storms are really ramping up. Grass staring to grow again, life renewed. DECEMBER - first half to 3 weeks of Dec is shithously oppressive, then around Xmas Day the Monsoon breaks....fanbloodrtastic again !!!
So 4 excellent months, 4 hmmm ok months, 2 hmmm a bit shithouse months, 2 fair dinkum really shithouse months.

1. May: Could be cooler and wetter but easily the best month. Can get good storms, cool, rainy days, generally pleasant temps and occasionally snow.
2. October: Extremely pleasant month but still capable of cold snaps with snow and interesting temps.
3. June: Too warm and depends on the year but in a good year it’s excellent with lots of storms and storm chances most days.
4. March: Usually a nice month with mild temps, high variability, snow and the first rains after winter.
5. July: Too hot but our stormiest month. Haven’t experienced one yet but I’d imagine I’d enjoy it.
6. September: Usually a pleasant month and gets the first cool fronts of the season and can get stronger heatwaves than summer. Downside is it can be too hot in the first half and is often boring.
7. August: Like July but with less storms, especially late in the month when I’ve been here.
8. April: Can be quite interesting with snow, days in the 80s, variability but the wind attack brings it way down the list. Incessant wind makes it often unpleasant.
9. December: First winter month so cold and snow is still a novelty. Usually pretty boring though with stable temps and not much snow.
10. January: Like December.
11. February: Like January.
12. November: Even more boring as there’s no chance of true sub <-10 f cold. Pleasant if above average but if it’s below average it’s unpleasant and boring as fuck.
