Santa Catalina by far. Reliable sun and more chance of warm weather. Jersey is like a slightly improved London.

Catalina Island, it’s winter high temperatures are lower than anywhere in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, looks like the Catalina airport is over 1000 feet above sea level.

Not lower than everywhere, the Victor and Antelope Valleys as well as the San Gabriel & San Bernardino Mountains have lower highs than Catalina. High desert high temps are upper 50s in Dec & Jan, and places like Big Bear and Arrowhead have winter highs in the mid to high 40s |

Jersey 4 sure. Went in Aug '97 and it was blistering hot, much too hot for me but that was a warm summer so most would be cooler mercifully.
