Mumbai, on India's west coast, is India's most populous city. It has an extreme wet and dry tropical climate. Pune, inland of Mumbai, has a weaker monsoon, and is cooler than Mumbai during winter and monsoon, but gets much hotter in summer. Additionally, Pune has dry air most of the time outside the monsoon, while Mumbai remains relatively humid year round. Which climate is more to your liking? Mumbai
Pune

Had to think about this one, but voted Pune because the rainfall totals are acceptable for the temps during the monsoon there. Both are equally arid the rest of the year, but Pune get more of a cool season so it gets my vote.

Mumbai... didn't have to think too hard on this battle... magnifique wet/dry monsoonal climate ! Pune is just ya bog stock standard dryish-inland-away-from-the-coast monsoonal climate....AND seems to get a bit chilly in the dry season too just quietly... and fair enough too, it's 560m asl... Similar comparo to Darwin-Katherine in the Top End ( Katherine is 300klm south of Darwin but only 108m asl )

Pune. Nights are more comfortable year round and there's a chance of cool weather in winter/the dry season.

Pune by far for some relief in the nights. I don't see how the nights are "chilly". Perfectly comfortable for sleeping, really. And the warm days make up for them anyway.

Pune. Has better drier heat and the wet season isn't as bad. Nights seem to get cool on occasion as well.

Pune. July and August look nice and itโs less humid overall

Pune for the diurnals, cooler monsoon season, presumably lower dewpoints, and moderate precipitation levels.

Pune, although borderline semi-arid; at least is cooler year-round, with lower dews and more sunshine
