It seems like the trees keep their leaves longer in town than in the country. I wonder if it's due to the UHI, increased light pollution, tree species, or some combination of the three. I think it's gotta be due to species. Lots of the non-native trees lose their leaves at odd times. Some leaf out at odd times too, there's a few planted cherry trees around here that bloomed a bit in November. |
