The first half of October was warm with decent enough weather, the second half however was awful, with what seemed like monsoonal like rainfall on most days. Rainfall ended up well above average, sunshine was close to average & temperatures were above average. Oct 2023 summary: After the 2nd warmest September, the warmest October on record ensued for Zagreb and for the majority of Croatia.
The first 2 weeks were Indian summer, felt like early June rather than October. Then the second half got cloudier and rainier, although still well above average temps, still good for shorts. All in all a very warm fall, might potentially end up as the warmest fall on record, we'll see what November brings.
Departures from averages:
Avg. high: 22.0 C (+5.0 C) Daily mean:15.9 C (+4.2 C) Avg. low:10.7 C (+3.2C)
Precip: 62.2 mm (-26.3 mm) Sun: 183 h (+52 h)
Record high broken too (+0.9 C)

October 2023 SummaryA cooler, wetter and slightly cloudier than average month. A strong front on the 3rd/4th brought welcome rain after the driest July to September period on record. This front ushered in cooler conditions for the rest of the month, which was a big contrast with September. Otherwise, nothing really of note to report on. By the way, there was a lot of missing temperature and rainfall data last month, so I included Viewbank data for those days. In addition, I modified the sunshine hours as per JG's post. Thus, the numbers posted here for any metric aren't necessarily accurate, but should come close to what was truly experienced. Fun fact: The last time October had a lower average high than September was in 2013.
