After a mild, boring December in Seattle, snow is in the forecast for next week, but how accurate is this forecast? Would you trust a 10 day forecast?

Not. Ok at telling the general pattern (below of above average) but inaccurate for specific temps and weather conditions

!0 days ahead is a prediction at best and guesswork at worst... Forecasting is an inexact science.....

I don't trust anything beyond maybe 5-7 days out for a general trend, 2-3 days out for specific numbers. I've seen some epic forecast fails at close range so I'm skeptical of any forecast I see until it actually comes true.

First 36 hrs are the most accurate, then gets exponentially more inaccurate each additional 12 hrs out after that
