Inspired by the Tarragona thread which my brain continually reads as Tauranga, NZ for some reason ( probably because I went to a wedding there some years ago ) So here is a climate battle between the two cities; again its NH verses SH, and both coastal locations..... which climate do you prefer ? TAURANGA, NZ: Climate: Tauranga has an oceanic or maritime temperate climate (cfb) in the Kรถppen Climate Classification. Though in the Trewartha Climate Classification it is subtropical (cfbl) During the summer months the population swells as holidaymakers descend on the city, especially along the popular white coastal surf beaches from Mount Maunganui to Papamoa. TARRAGONA, ES: Climate: The climate of Tarragona can be described as a humid subtropical climate (Kรถppen Cfa). Despite its location in the Mediterranean region, it does not have a Mediterranean climate since August has more rainfall than winter months, which receive near or less than 30 mm (1.2 in). Winters are mildly cool and summers are hot and sultry, while the rainiest seasons are autumn and spring.

What's up with Tarragona being so popular these days on WWF? Whatever, I go with the place that gets proper rain for a change.

The Spanish one for the dryness and sun, but I wouldn't like those cold winter mornings (not good for some sensitive garden plants).

New Zealand. Much more temperate especially in summer which is far better!
