Coltishall 14 km NE, nearer the North Sea: Morley St. Botolph, 16 km W: Scole, 30 km S: I think all of them have strong and weak points. For Coltishall to be nearer the North Sea and more northerly is a pitfall. Morely St. Botolph is extremely rural and farther inland, whereas Scole is too far south. I'm more leaning towards highs between Morley and Scole in July, with Scole-like lows due to the urban setting and the relative distance to the sea helping the highs out a bit. In winter, I'd guess Coltishall is a better representation due to the UHI effect that Norwich and maybe also couple of miles around it (to a lesser degree) will experience. Here, Scole may also come in handy, it being more rural and to the south. What do our former/current Norwich residents think? And the others of course

B87 has said Norwich was noticeably worse than London, but that's all I know about it.

There is a weather station at Norwich Airport, (which is located about 3 miles north of the city), but averages have not been released from here. It is still in operation, despite the Met Office ceasing responsibility for the station last year. It is still linked to the NOAA, so current observations can be seen on various weather websites.

B87 has said Norwich was noticeably worse than London, but that's all I know about it. I asked people here and they said it was worse than normal. It was bad in London as well from mid-July to the end of September. I would say that it's somewhere inbetween Scole and Morley, but the lows might be a bit warmer. I've been here since July, and I've noticed that the mornings in Norwich are usually sunny, but then it clouds over in the afternoon. When I drive to the coast for work, it's always cloudy in the morning, but sunny during the afternoon.

I lived in Norwich for 4 years - it was pretty much similar to London but a bit cooler and fewer warm temperatures. More chance of cold weather, although only one big snow event between 2012-2016 when I was there in Jan 2013. No other big snow events..
All winters apart from that were mild - very mild in the case of 15/16
