What do you think the year will bring in your location, weatherwise? What do you hope it will bring?
For London, I think the following is reasonable.
Jan: 7c/2c, 60mm, 60 sun hrs - mild start and end with a cold spell in the middle. Coldest temperature of the year with -7c.
Feb: 10c/2c, 20mm, 100 sun hrs - mild, dry and sunny, but possibly with brief settling snow at some point.
Mar: 12c/4c, 30mm, 120 sun hrs - standard unremarkable March.
Apr: 14c/4c, 20mm, 200 sun hrs - a cool, dry and sunny April, not as extreme as April 2021.
May: 19c/9c, 40mm, 210 sun hrs - average overall, a very poor first half and a bone dry, hot 2nd half. First 30c of the year.
Jun: 21c/13c, 70mm, 180 sun hrs - a mix of settled and unsettled; cooler, wetter and duller than average but most rain coming from thunderstorms.
Jul: 24c/14c, 30mm, 230 sun hrs - average temperatures, slightly drier and sunnier than average.
Aug: 25c/14c, 10mm, 250 sun hrs - a warm, dry and sunny August, with a notable heat spike bringing the hottest day of the year at 37c.
Sep: 23c/13c, 60mm, 190 sun hrs - very warm, dry and sunny for the first 3 weeks. Several days above 30c. The final week sees major rainfall and cool, dull conditions.
Oct: 17c/10c, 110mm, 90 sun hrs - raging SWly winds and rainfall for almost the entire month. Very wet, and dull with slightly above average temperatures.
Nov: 10c/4c, 20mm, 100 sun hrs - a cool, dry and very sunny month, the complete opposite of October. The first frost of the 24/25 winter season.
Dec: 9c/3c, 50mm, 40 sun hrs - a month of 2 halves, with cold, dry and sunny conditions in the first half of the month and drizzly, cloudy 10-15c days in the 2nd half of the month.
Annual rainfall: 520mm
Annual sun hours: 1770
Max temp: 37c Min temp: -7c

Between 10-12 months warmer than normal
Slightly drier than normal annual precipitation, with the most anomalously dry period concentrated in autumn.
Winter 2023-2024 will finish as the second winter on record to fail to drop below 40 F, after 2016-2017.

In Atlanta
January | 51ºF/36ºF with 9" of rain. Cool, turning mild and wet for the latter third of the month. February | 56ºF/40ºF with 5" of rain. Mild and wet in the start and end of the month, with a cool dry period in between, last freeze in the middle of the month.
March | 67ºF/48ºF with 6" of rain. Generally a mild and wet month, with a warmup mid-month.
April | 75ºF/53ºF with 3" of rain. Dry, stable, and warm, with the bulk of the rain in an early-month cold air damming event. May | 78ºF/57ºF with 2" of rain. Basically a continuation of April's pattern, with a threat for severe storms late in the month. June | 91ºF/70ºF with 3" of rain. Very stable and mildly hot throughout, without any major heatwaves.
July | 94ºF/73ºF with 2" of rain. Hot and dry early with a notable heatwave, then seasonable and stable with storms to finish.
August | 86ºF/70ºF with 6" of rain. Thundery and mild summer month, especially in the middle. September | 82ºF/65ºF with 4" of rain. Thundery start, stable and mild throughout. October | 77ºF/58ºF with 3" of rain. Mild and dry generally, with tropical remnants delivering the bulk of the rain. November | 64ºF/47ºF with 4" of rain. Cool and turning rainy late, first freeze mid-month. December | 52ºF/34ºF with 3" of rain. Cool and dry during most of the month.

February: 52/27, 24” snow, 0.20” rain. Very warm but with a cold snap with a huge snowstorm
March: 56/30, 15” snow, 1” rain. Pretty average month but quite wet with two big snowstorms.
April: 62/36, 22” snow, 3” rain, 5 t-storms Near average temps, a huge snowstorm, a couple thunderstorms and below average wind.
May: 65/42, 1” snow, 6” rain, 15 t-storms. Cool and very stormy month
June: 74/52, 4” rain, 15 storms. A cooler and wetter version of last June.
July: 91/57, 0.5” rain, 5 storms. The cool, wet pattern breaks with a very warm month when I’m likely not here.
Aug: 92/59, 0.5” rain, 5 storms. Record heat the first 3 weeks, cooler with storms returning the last week.
Sept: 78/49, 0.5” rain, 3 storms. Average t, pretty dry
October: 66/37, 10” snow, 0.3” rain. Basically a repeat of this last October.
November: 61/30, 5” snow, 0.1” rain. Record warmth with a snowstorm late.
December: 50/25, 25” snow, 0.2” rain. Very warm with a massive snowstorm on Christmas and a rare couple days with rain.
One can hope

This is what I hope. I know, I know; the transitions betwen months are very smooth, but this is what I hope (and would not occur). Still, it is fun to hypothesise. I hope warm, wet summers and mild dry winters with above-average sunshine to increase the diurnal temperature range. I also wish more frequent warm and cool events; but most days are pleasant and sunny with some downpours (and not sideways drizzle). Wind would be moderate in summer and weak in winter to reduce electricity bills! Dews and precipitation days were calculated from humidity levels, by the way.

My prediction for January wasn't too far off, it was slightly warmer and sunnier in reality.
February and March so far have been the complete opposite. My cool, dry and sunny April prediction is already wrong and the month hasn't started yet.

Cooler, cloudier and wetter than average. No doubt egged on and celebrated by the brain dead netweather nerds who struggle to sleep with lows in the low teens

Probably wetter than average and cloudier than average with watered down seasons. Seems to becoming the new normal! In the face of a cool June after a mild winter and very mild spring, it appears I am still being proven correct to this day. I also predict a dry (though not necessary warm) July. Lettuce see what happens.

25.4C (August) > 25.0C (July) ✅ It's even more special since it was the hottest July and August. As for it being dry, it was, with not a lot of rain days, but a one day soaker with 89.9 mm made the month wetter than average.
