Love chess, don't play it so much these days but I've played it very frequently during the 2016-2021 period.
If you want to get better at chess (I assume you are a total beginner now), the best thing for you to do is to learn the basic chess principles (like center domination, rooks on the files ...), learn some openings and play puzzles for pattern recognition and sharpening your chess logic.
Also, look up the YouTube chess channels, they do a great job of explaining the openings and logic behind the moves.
