Morningrise as it turns out, I saved a copy of your dream climate from 2012 onto my computer - it looks a lot like Vandsor actually! Not bad but I'd like at least 3 warm months in summer and not just 1 , but still an improvement on here though.

Not bad but I'd like at least 3 warm months in summer and not just 1 , but still an improvement on here though. Yeah, I believe that was the only dream climate I'd ever posted before. My preferences have definitely changed since then, though some desired characteristics have remained consistent throughout the years. Too wet in the summers for sure and a bit hotter than I'd like. But nice to look back and see what my preferences were way back then. I'm quite satisfied with the level of warmth in the summers of my climates, but I do have times where I feel like I would enjoy something a bit hotter - usually after a heatwave in the summer my temperature preferences will go up a bit. I've never lived somewhere with proper hot summers so I really don't know whether or not I would actually enjoy them or what my upper limit is for that sort of thing. I'd like to find out one day, I'd love to move to Southern Ontario (very close to my ideal temperatures) and see if I'd be satisfied with that level of warmth or prefer something more (or less).

Reminds me of a climate you'd find in Serbia or Bulgaria

Doña Jimena Lemme guess...it's Alicante, right? Seems too dry for a windward Spanish climate Sí, señor. Seems like northerly and northeasterly winds are frequent for Alicante, while the Mediterranean sea surrounds it from South-East.

Weatherzone style averages for Northlake. I've come up with some of the records on the spot here, but I'll stick with them lol. Just realised after making this that I didn't add snow records, can't be bothered to go back and do them. I'll post them separately at a later date.

Here's the most continental year on record in my dream climate—1908. By "most continental", I refer solely to the range between the warmest and coolest monthly maxima; that being 31.2° C between January and June. January was the 3rd hottest on record by mean (behind only 1878 and 1890), whereas June was the #No.1 coldest and snowiest on record (jointly holding the monthly record low reading of –13.6° C). The Jan–Mar period was remarkable for its great stability brought about by unrelenting drought and heatwave conditions. Long-term averages comparison (1858–2020):

Here are detailed records for my dream climate: For the first box, going down the rows are: Record high, record low max, record high min, record low, highest daily precipitation, highest daily snowfall The second box, going down, the rows are: Highest mean max, lowest mean max, highest mean min, lowest mean min, highest monthly precipitation, lowest monthly precipitation, highest monthly snowfall—essentially the monthly and annual records (the year column is annual records) Every month has had a month with no snow so I didn’t include a column for it. The least snowy year had 19.7” (50 cm). Here are the averages again for comparison: All the records are based off of Scottsbluff and then adjusted to fit my dream climate.

The most recent update to my dream climate. The climate hasn't recently changed too much, I just wanted slightly more variation in winter so that I can appreciate the heat more and to create more variability in the climate for the interest factor. I think my new climate resembled north NSW now rather than SE Queensland even though I still love the latter. I have reduced winter temps by 2c and increased diurnal variation from April to October by 1c. I have also reduced winter record lows somewhat (never going below freezing though) and increased record highs by quite a bit. I like the idea of having powerful foehn winds coming off the nearby mountain range bringing with it very high temps every so often. The last thing I've done is increase rainfall in summer to create that mini-monsoon feel.

Cleaned up a few of the issues (too much cold rain, unrealistic spring) and added mean mins/maxes

^Only 1/3 of the precipitation days in April are snow days, but the record high is below freezing. Checks out.
