Van
Both have lame boring cool crummers, but it gets my vote as the warmer lows outweigh the warmer highs for the WA counterpart

Hard to pick the winner here without averages for snowfall and snow cover. I'd assume Van has less snow cover though, plus its annual average is warmer, so it is my choice.

Ah yes, 87 f average highs, the definition of cool crummer.
I’ll go with Van for better temps and probably more storms

I don't think of 51°F lows as being summery.

I’ll go with Van for better temps and probably more storms I've been to Leavenworth during the summer and it definitely isn't a cool summer climate by any stretch of the imagination. There was this one day when the temperature was close to 90F and I was so thirsty. We had no drinks and the public park we were at had no drinking fountains. Still blows me away that there were no public drinking fountains. I think every place with average summer highs above 85F should have them. We survived though and drove a couple miles to a gas station and bought some Gatorade and coconut water for hydration. That was the best coconut water I've ever had in my life, and it was worth the $6 dollars lol.

Van for not having frigid nights in summer. Also less depressing winters.

Van, just by a bit. The winters are a touch milder and the summers are warmer overall by mean.

Van. The greater precip in Leavenworth doesn't seem to be worth all the snow and cooler temps
