I've seen a lot of climate battles with Seoul in it, but not a thread for Seoul itself. Since it's such an important city with a unique (i.e. bad) climate, I decided to make this thread. What do you think about Seoul's climate and how would you rate it?

I'm surprised that this shithole hasn't been rated before. Seoul is an E, horrific cold dry winter and washout crummer. The only saving grace is the decent April, May, and October. The summer is such a waste of good temps. Imagine having the summer (time of the comfortable temps) ruined by fucking this type of monsoonal shit.

D+. December-February and July-August are horrible but spring and fall look very nice, if boring.

C-
It gets a C only because the temps are good. Summer is far too cloudy, and July and August are horrible with all that rain. Winter is ok but a bit too dry.

I’ll give it a B+. It would be an A climate if summers were not as hot.

While I generally like monsoonal precipitation patterns, I can't give higher than a C- to Seoul because of how cold the winters are and how utterly washed-out the summers are. I love the summer temps and humidity, but it's just too wet and cloudy.

B-
Shit for a sea-level 37°N climate, cold stable boring winters. Summers are alright temp-wise though. Not bad as far as climates with similar annual mean/winter temps go.

C+. When my friends/acquaintances asking me when's the best season to visit Seoul, I always answer to them between April to May and October.
Average mean ≥10°C, <20°C (1991-2020) 3 April to 27 May / 27 September to 8 November (98 days; 55 days in spring, 43 days in autumn)

C+, it's alright, main flaw is the winters are too cold.

Such a pathetic climate. Just 3 good months close to sea level at 37ºN. The same fucking latitude as such glorious climates as Antalya and Tabarka.

E typical monsoonal hellhole with hot, humid, drenched summers and cold arid winters.
summer nights are too warm, precipitation pattern sucks especially with those cold winters

E
Seoul is very cold for my liking. Though I've grown to like it as a city from all that Korean Netflix hits
Busan is closer to acceptable.
Seogwipo is the best in SK.
