The ancient city of Jerusalem is a holy city to the world's Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam). Partly because of that, it also has been the focus of much conflict in the past (and even today). But does Jerusalem have a climate worth fighting for?

B+. Temperatures are excellent but living in a climate very dry summers I'm realizing I don't want it to be that dry for so long. Also the overall precip total is a bit low and it's too sunny.
Harashim is an A- though.

B. Reasonable summer temps, though too dry for too long and presumably lacking in the storms department.

B-. Reasonable year-round temps, but I don't like the rainless summers with low humidity.

A, it's got great temps/rainfall, it's a Mediterranean paradise. Not perfect though, I'd like it to be rainier and warmer in spring. If anyone is wondering about storms, well the Levantine coast gets some thunderstorms in winter, but not anything crazy.
I have been lucky enough to experience a thunderstorm in Jerusalem in May 2023. It just produced sprinkles, but there was even cloud-to-ground lightning. In Hebron on another day, there was a thunderstorm too, but it had less lightning and it had measureable rain.

D-. Pretty awful with being bone dry for 5 months. Too much heavy rain in winter too. Temps are ok so I’ll be generous.

Solid Med climate, but I'd like more rain in shoulder seasons. A bit hotter summers would be appreciated too. Sunshine hours are divine, gets a +.

I ll give it a C only because I would prefer it warmer.
Jerusalem has pretty similar climate to Athens. A bit colder and rainer year round (much cooler summers than Athens though) but considering its elevation its nice and pleasant.

A solid B.....I don't mind the Med pattern climate of Jerusalem... not too shabby climatically.... And taken by force of arms/conquest in 1967... will Israel ever give it up ?.... not a chance.....

Too dry outside of winter, and winters are too mild.
