Since I've lived in Seattle my whole life I can't make a "places I've lived climate battle" thread Instead, this is a climate battle of the various places I've spent at least a night in this past year (besides where I live), whether it be staying in hotels or visiting family/friends Vancouver, WA (Closest climate data to Ridgefield, WA where my Grandma lives) Leavenworth, WA Eugene, OR Chico, CA Pismo Beach, CA

Chico of course. Awesome temps and great rainfall pattern. to be fair all these climates have a med pattern. you must like your summers nice and toasty though because Chico's summers are pretty darn hot, but luckily the city has plenty of trees for shade, including some massive valley oaks in lower Bidwell Park (super big park running through the city).

Yeah I like hot summers and especially warm springs, so Chico's temps made it an easy choice.

Vancouver. Pismo Beach looks nice too if I don’t care about seasonality.

As a heat wanker, Chico wins this one in a landslide.

Pismo beach. They all suck so I’ll pick the most comfortable one.

Surprised you didn't pick Leavenworth since you seem to like more proper four-season climates

Surprised you didn't pick Leavenworth since you seem to like more proper four-season climates Leavenworth's winters do appeal to me with all that snow and decent cold, however, the rest of the year is too chilly. It has too chilly lows in general (aside from the winter months). But by far the most important season to me is summer, and it needs to be hot, and Chico has the hottest (best) summers of the bunch. Chico's winters aren't as interesting to me as Leavenworth's are, but I can tolerate those mild winters if the climate has hot summers. + Chico has better shoulder seasons.
