You might recognize the name from the book "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer. Chris was fresh out of college, and decided to leave Atlanta, Georgia for the Alaskan wilderness to live off the land and leave society behind. He traveled across the United States on his journey to Alaska, and even lived in several cities/towns for short periods of time, which represent a wide array of climates. For this climate battle, I've decided to include only the places where Chris actually stayed for at least a little while, as to not make the list of climates overly exhausting. Atlanta, Georgia (Where McCandless graduated from Emory University and where his journey began) During his journey, McCandless lived in Carthage, South Dakota for a while and even had a job there working for Wayne Westerberg, but the closest location with climate data is Howard, SD which is 20.7 miles away from Carthage. Close enough. McCandless lived in Salton City, California for some time too McCandless spent two months in Bullhead City, Arizona as a McDonald's employee McCandless met his end in the Alaskan Wilderness near the town of Healy, Alaska. The most likely cause of death was starvation, and a pleasurable reason why he starved is because he suffered paralysis in his legs due to the seeds of the Eskimo Potato (Hedysarum alpinum), an abundant plant with edible roots but poisonous seeds.

I'd pick the astonishing climates of Salton and Bullhead City, but I'm worried they get fuck all thunderstorms. McCandles looks like ๐๐ฟMรถrรถn๐๐ฟ's dream climate, depending on his blood alcohol level. His other dream climate is somewhere in Queensland.

Atlanta easily, A- climate and the only one that isn't way too hot or cold for some part of the year.

Atlanta. Salton City and BHC would be great too if they'd get more precip and storms.

Atlanta of course, temps are pretty much ideal. Only a fool would leave this place for any of those shitholes.

I'd pick the astonishing climates of Salton and Bullhead City, but I'm worried they get fuck all thunderstorms. Bullhead City gets 16 per year, Salton City is much worse, the closest station in Thermal gets 7 Atlanta for me

They all have pretty horrible qualities. Maybe Salton City? But its winter lows are chilly.
