Looking like a hot one. Hoping at least one of these forecast "thunder showers" actually happens -- long overdue. ![](https://i.gyazo.com/daff3826ad2b4ea215676b2ead0c22c9.png)

Quite mediocre. However, the end seems warmer and sunnier. ![](https://i.ibb.co/qDqwHRy/Estwoforecast080720.png)

Extremely warm for July; due to easterly Foehn winds (nothing but E on the wind directions) ![(puke)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sick.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/EhCkrU3.jpg) About 4° C above average for multiple days in a row (avg max for July is 7° C). Decile 9 is 10.8° C, too… I have a strong feeling that August will be much colder than July this year, maybe even September FFS.

Sunny and gradually warmer as high pressure sits in the eastern half of the state, a front will hit late sunday or early monday bringing moderate to heavy falls for the first half of next week. Good bit of variability for July, also the next few days are some of the coldest we'll get all year with 16/5 (although I personally think we'll get lower than 5C tonight). ![](https://i.imgur.com/oBVRsWb.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/df78lp5.png)

This isn't even a crummer, this is full-blown autumn even if the rains have nearly stopped. The first half of the year was very close to the warmest on record but the first half of July will probably have every single day below average. ![](https://i.imgur.com/hZh7aNN.jpg)

Forecast discussion for extreme SW CA, including Indio (shown as "desert") Coastal clouds have decreased while high clouds from Mexico have increased this afternoon. That moisture feed from Mexico will keep some clouds coming through the weekend, and will produce towering cumulus clouds each afternoon over the mountains. We don't think thunderstorms will happen, but some buildups will get close. The heat is the big story as high pressure aloft presses down over the Southwest. The temperature forecast is on track, only a few adjustments to the temps themselves and no adjustments to the heat hazard messaging: warning in deserts (Sat-Mon) and advisory for low elevation inland areas (Sat-Sun). The two weekend days appear to be the hottest over the entire region overall. Noticeable cooling is expected Monday west of the mountains, with noticeable cooling finally reaching the desert Tuesday. The high pressure will squash down the marine layer even more this weekend, such that the cloud deck should be patchier and less uniform in coverage, and only near the coast. Dense fog could be a coastal issue as well as some fog sticking at some beaches this weekend. The high pressure weakens Sunday through Tuesday allowing temperatures to gravitate back to near normal by Tuesday. The marine layer will rebuild and bring back a more solid cloud deck that gets into some western valleys each night and morning. Not much change Tuesday through Friday, only minor variations in temps and coastal cloud cover.

boombo 's forecast is fucking tragic indeed. What's worse, he gets to see everyone else here getting heat and storms ad nauseum. I mean that makes me sick aswell, but at least it's winter here. Let's crummarise: 25C dewpoints in Canada 36C temps in Montreal Dewpoints well above 20C with temps over 30-35C in NE USA Same in Toronto Storms in arctic Canada Storms in Umea and other gay oceanic arctic climates 31C in Gay Pari Anywhere in Southern US approaching Persian Gulf status etc

Super mild for July, even milder than last year. The Weather Network's 14-day-trend shows highs not exceeding average for the next two weeks. If this keeps up we may get a July that doesn't hit 30C at any point, something I'm sure has happened in the past but that I don't recall having ever personally seen... ![](https://i.imgur.com/xwlVsCz.png)
