Looking to cool off a bit as we head into March. Nothing special, a bit below average for the time of year, but will feel nice compared to recent weather.

28 Feb-6 Mar in the county seats and county-merged provincial "capitals" of Sweden; from south to north, I've left out the three non-cities. Malmö: -2/-5 Karlskrona: -2/-5 Halmstad: -2/-7 Kalmar: -2/-5 Växjö: -4/-8 Jönköping: -5/-10 Gothenburg: -3/-9 Visby: -3/-6 Linköping: -4/-9 Nyköping: -3/-8 Örebro: -5/-11 Karlstad: -5/-11 Stockholm: -4/-9 Västerås: -5/-11 Uppsala: -5/-11 Gävle: -5/-9 Falun: -7/-12 Hudiksvall: -7/-13 Sundsvall: -8/-16 Härnösand: -8/-14 Östersund: -11/-19 Umeå: -8/-16 Luleå: -9/-15 Kiruna: -12/-17 Pretty sizeable diversity, isn't it? jgtheone

They do that in the western australia newspaper. I used to read that when i was a kid to know what the temperature was in major cities.

Thought I'd also do the Atlantic coast and near-coast cities from Florida to Nova Scotia while at it:
From south to north (28 Feb-6 Mar):
Miami: 27/19 Palm Beach: 26/16 Daytona: 24/13
Jacksonville: 24/13 Savannah: 22/9 Charleston: 20/9
Virginia Beach: 16/5 Washington, D.C.: 12/5 Baltimore: 12/5
Atlantic City: 10/2 Philadelphia: 10/4 New York City: 9/4
New Haven: 8/2 Nantucket: 7/3 Boston: 6/2
Portland (ME): 5/0 Halifax: 4/-0 Sydney: 0/-5
Pretty clear that the significant line is still the one dividing the Carolinas from the Mid-Atlantic on the warm Atlantic temps' transition to colder ones with sharp cooling down between Charleston and Washington DC. The gap between Charleston and Virginia Beach to disappear is the main one to look out for during spring.

New month (and season), new forecast. No sign of anything close to average temperatures for the forseeable future. Much rather be saying that about warmth in summer, but whatever.

Nice and sunny here with average temps. Should be able to keep my air con off for the first week of March at least 👍

This is literally about the worst forecast we could have, useless cold rain and grey skies when I'm ready for spring plus a slow, slushy thaw

I would rather have a forecast full of ice days than this depressing monotonous shit.

Can't believe I'm looking forward to going above freezing in March. Temps recovering to what would be slightly below average for February. Also, not even a second of sun in the forecast.
