China's extremes of stations with 1991-2020 normals Warmest (Sansha, Hainan): Coldest (Wudaoliang, Qinghai): Wettest (Dongxing, Guangxi): Driest (Toksun, Xinjiang): Sunniest (Shiquanhe, Tibet): Cloudiest (Baoxing, Sichuan):

Sasha for being surprisingly sunny. Still muggy and uncomfortable though.

Baoxing. The constant cloudiness would suck but temperatures are excellent, precipitation is decent and Iโd rather excessive clouds than awful temps like the others.
This would be fun as a series.

Changing vote to Sansha. Dongxing is a bit too cloudy. Need more sun.

Sansha, it has 8 acceptable months, the most of all of these. Chinese climates suck ass.

Dongxing. Not as extreme as most of the others and sunnier than Baoxing. Still too cloudy but the hot summers might make me appreciate clouds more

For the US as far as I know:
Warmest: Death Valley, CA Coldest: Kaktovik, AK Wettest: Whittier, AK (or Mount Waialeale, HI, but it's uninhabited and doesn't record temps) Driest: Death Valley, CA Sunniest: Yuma, AZ Cloudiest: Probably in Alaska, but Quillayute, WA (inhabited) or Mount Washington, NH (uninhabited) out of the places that have sunshine data

I don't know... probably Baoxing(the cloudiest). Need an artificial sunlight lamp to survive there.

Sansha
Toksun has more interesting temps, but it's mind-numbingly boring with that dryness. Pretty bad selection indeed.
