Make a tier list for precipitation types. Here's mine, in order from most liked to least liked.
1. Rain
Rain feels refreshing and I enjoy walking in it although I wouldn't want too much of it. In my opinion, great climates are rain-dominated because more snow than rain would likely mean that winters are too cold for my liking.
2. Snow
Whenever snow is in the forecast here, my adrenaline starts rushing. Even more so when it actually starts snowing. The excitement of snow is unmatched by any other weather phenomenon. Snow creates so much fun for so many people, such as sledding, snowmen, snowball fights, snow angels and even skiing when there's enough of it. Not to mention, snow is pretty when it falls and makes landscapes beautiful. Slush is the exception.
3. Hail
Warm temperatures are generally not conductive to any icy precipitation type, but hail, which often accompanies thunderstorms is the exception. Hail just adds more excitement to thunderstorms, which are interesting on their own. I put hail above graupel due to the potential for hailstones being much larger than graupel pellets, and its presence in warm weather.
4. Graupel
Similar to hail but occurs in winter. Pretty interesting.
5. Sleet
In my experience, sleet often occurs right before, right after or with snow. I'd rather have snow.
6. Freezing Rain
Freezing Rain feels like a slap in the face because it falls at temperatures that support snow in many instances. It's just normal rain when it falls but freezes and leaves a hazardous icy glaze on everything.

Agree with your order @coolman18
I prefer warmer winters which would prevent snow/graupel/sleet/freezing rain from being a regular occurrence. If it had to be cold I'd want somewhat dry winters with occasional snow.

From best to worst. Gonna get specific. In my dream climate, these all have occurred except the last one.
1) Rain, 64ยบF and below
2) Hail (especially love t-storms at cool temps)
3) Graupel 4) Drizzle, also on-and-off rain showers
5) Non-accumulating snow / rain-snow mix (or what the Brits/Aussies call sleet) 6) Rain, 65ยบF and above
7) Freezing rain 8) Sleet (ice pellets) 9) Accumulating wet snow
