Warmest and sunniest (Minamitorishima): Coldest, besides Mt Fuji which doesn't measure precipitation (Nukabira Gensenkyo): Hottest monthly average high (Tajimi): Coldest monthly average low, besides Mt Fuji (Rikubetsu): Wettest (Yakushima): Driest (Tokoro): Cloudiest and snowiest (Sukayu Onsen):

Just out of curiosity, did you find these climates manually or is there an official webpage to search efficiently? I'm choosing Tokoro the driest.

Manually, luckily can easily combine all station files into a single CSV file so it makes it easy to sort by each variable www.data.jma.go.jp/stats/data/mdrr/normal/index.html

Minamitorishima, the much greater sunshine and longer period of warmth wins over Tajimi even though that's more seasonal. Tajimi's winters are too god damn stable and boring.
Keep those threads coming!

Rikubetsu is the best for me I believe. Pretty balanced and decent winters and non-washout summers.

Tajimi. Mildest temps with a balance of heat and cold and not extremely wet like Yakushima.

Minami-Torishima. An A+ climate.

Oh my fuck, these climates are such fucking shitheaps they make me tremble with rage I vote Minamitorishima for being a reasonably dry, sunny and comfortable tropical climate, although boring. Although I'm tempted to Tokoro (driest), which is still rainier than my hometown in the Bay Area which is still too wet (~20 in precip) which is a fucking travesty that this is the driest climate in this entire country and also happens to be a polar shitheap.

I like these threads a lot.
Rikubetsu has higher diurnals than here in winter.
Tajimi is the only acceptable choice here. Not bad outside of summer.

Minami-Torishima
Not enough seasonal variation, but it's better than Tajimi because it has more sun and drier/sunnier summers.

Tajimi I guess, those temps are the best here and they all have too much crummer rain anyway.

Minamitorishima blew me away! Warm all year round, sunny and not that rainy (whilst being in southeast Asia)? That's a darn feat! Great find Tom! Still a C+ because the humidity seems to be too much, but I wouldn't mind living there. EDIT: Lol crap, it's actually a solitary island in the northern Pacific. Still, it's in the vicinity of east Asia, so I guess my review still applies.
