How important is variability (or the lack thereof) to you? Could be any type of variability, temperature variability, precipitation variability, sunshine variability, etc. and variability in any time frame, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.
This applies whether you prefer variable or stable climates. How important is it to you that the level of variability in a climate is what you prefer? How bad is it if a climate is too stable or variable?

4/5. Rather important, though more important is the time of year variability occurs. It's crucial to have winter as the more variable time of year, especially when that variability isn't purely positive deviation. Summer cold fronts and polar outbreaks can FUCK right off.

5. Very important. I grow tired if the weather is all the same for a prolonged time.

I should say, around 3/5. While my dream climate is warm-oceanic, I like to have variation regarding rainfall amounts and sometimes spikes in temperature where it becomes very warm for brief periods, or conversley, quite cold relative to average. What it lacks in seasonal variation I can make up for in day-to-day variation.

3/5. I like variability within a predictable range. Sunny and cloudy skies should alternate at least couple of times a week in most period.

The more the actual climate deviates from my ideal climate, the more I like year-to-year variability. In this way there is always hope that I can get a nice season. Hence in my dream climate I would want low year-to-year variability.
Day-to-day variability (or rather few days to few days) is always important - in winter I prefer high variability and in summer little.

Way too broad a thread, I feel like everyone wants variability but in some aspect. Separate threads on temperature variability and weather/sky condition variability would be better.

4. Very important, but I wouldn't want a 30C day after a -20C night.
I definitely like a fair share of rainy and clear days and moderate variation in temperature. Iโm not a fan of 10 consecutive rainy days or clear days, nor never ending heat in summer. I like some hot days in summer, but Iโd rather have a handful mild days as well.
Winter variability is also important although not as much as summer. A good variability between clear and snowy days in winter is good.

Yes, I would like each day to be different, alternating between both sides of an ideal temp threshold. No, I don't enjoy the Western US-style "variability" which is weeks of stable boring weather and one day of lethal cold.

4: prefer day-to-day variability in all seasons, but nothing too extreme.

I'm part of the admin team on a local FB weather page... I can tell ya the site activity/participation drops substantially during the dry season with seemingly endless carbon copy days for weeks on end. About the end of August activity picks up with endless speculation re the first rains.

2/5 meh. If variability takes me out of a cloudiness and boring rain days, then yeah. I wouldn't a mind boring, perpetual sunny climate.

It depends on the type of variability. Rainfall variability between months such that winter is very rainy and summer very dry? Very important, as is seasonal variability (a mild winter and a hot summer). Day-to-day or even week to week temperature/rainfall variation? Don't mind it, but not essential in the slightest. I wouldn't even mind if every day in April was 75ยบF/55ยบF with partly cloudy skies. I'll rate it a 2/5 importance.

PEI is great for general variability (sky conditions, low dews, higher dews, decent temp swings, varied precip types, number of precip days - day to day or month to month, etc). Only thing that doesn't have as much variability is that it's frequently windy here.
