a request from Kaleetan ... If I'm missing anything, someone can correct me. Warmest (Bangkok Port (Klong Toei)): Coolest (Doi Ang Khang): Hottest monthly average high (Mae Hong Son): Coolest monthly average low (Doi Mu Soe): Wettest (Trat): Driest (Hua Hin): Sunniest (Thung Chang): Cloudiest (Pattani):

Some damn fine monsoonal climates there. Northern Australians feel right at home in Thailand.... Can't really bring myself to vote for Bangkok even though its similar Darwin but with significant UHI. My son lived there for a coupla years, reckoned the climate/heat was worse than Darwin. The wet place looks epic, but the vote went to Thung Chang.

I was torn between Thung Chang and Mae Hong Son, I'm gonna go for the latter with the flip of a coin.
A bit more interesting with interesting 100+ยฐF temps being semi-common before the wet season, though annual avg is a bit higher and cloudier.

Doi Mu Soe for getting proper dry heat as well as dry warmth and having a (relatively) mild monsoon season.

Doi Ang Khang. Similar highs to here with warmer lows.
Doi Mu Soe is also pretty good.

Trat and Doi Ang Khang (voted Trat for its warmth and epic monsoon).
BTW, Why is Bangkok so hot? It's even hotter than Valledupar.

So many excellent climates here, let's do the process of elimination.
Doi Ang Khang and Doi Mu Soe are cooler than the rest, so they're out. Trat is simply too wet.
All the rest are solid A+ climates. Mae Hong Son and Thung Chang have cold record lows, so they're not my favorite of these. Hua Hin might be a little too dry for too long. Pattani is cloudier than I prefer my tropical climates. Therefore, the best climate of all of these wonderful places is Bangkok Port, Klong Toei.

Trat and Doi Ang Khang (voted Trat for its warmth and epic monsoon). BTW, Why is Bangkok so hot? It's even hotter than Valledupar. Urban Heat Island raises the nighttime temperatures significantly in BKK.

Warmest (Bangkok Port (Klong Toei)): That's one hell of a UHI in that corner of Bangkok proper... cold season average temps of >28 C, holy shit that has to be hotter than the airport station Trat and Doi Ang Khang (voted Trat for its warmth and epic monsoon). BTW, Why is Bangkok so hot? It's even hotter than Valledupar. Urban Heat Island raises the nighttime temperatures significantly in BKK.

Thung Chang for me. Similar highs to BKK but much more reasonable lows and dewpoints. I love that the winter highs are still reliably warm-hot, but the lows are cool enough for sitting around a bonfire at night - you wouldn't be doing that in BKK. Plus very sunny except in the peak of the monsoon season, which is okay. Trat and Doi Ang Khang (voted Trat for its warmth and epic monsoon). BTW, Why is Bangkok so hot? It's even hotter than Valledupar. As mentioned, BKK, being a city of over ten million people, has a very significant urban heat island. Compare it to nearby Ayutthaya (notice how much cooler winter lows are in particular):
