5/5 for me. Winter temperatures are the most critical factor in whether a climate is good or not to me. Any climate with sub-40 average highs automatically sucks and if they’re below ~45, the climate must be very good in other aspects to be good. Similarly, if they’re above the low 60s, the climate is generally too boring and unless there’s loads of thunderstorms, it’s sucks. In winter, lows are also quite important. Of the stats in a weather box it’s definitely the most important

3/5. Not nearly as important as summer temps, though a variable mild winter makes a climate better.

What makes 60s boring but not 50s? At least 60s is more comfortable I rate their importance 3/5, same as every other season.

At least 60s is more comfortable I rate their importance 3/5, same as every other season. 50s you’re more likely to get snow and it’s more of a contrast from summer. 60s, especially mid-high 60s still feel warm. 50s feel cooler but still quite comfortable without bundling up.

4/5, fairly important but not what defines a rating, just like summers. Other factors, like precipitation amount, spread, variability, humidity, sunshine amount + spread are also important.

It's harder to find a climate with good winters than one with good summers. Basically the coldest month mean needs to be around 10c for a climate to earn an A from me.
Something like NYC or Medellin can still get a B-, but if anything is a 5, it's this or the annual mean temp (which is strongly affected by winter temps).

5/5 importance - the avg. high ideally between 12-15°C and avg. low no lower than 2-3°C in any month.

4/5 importance. While my ideal winter averages are 53ºF/39ºF high/low, anything above a coldest month mean of 35ºF can earn an A provided other factors are right. However, when winter means go below this and especially below 30ºF, a climate's ranking tanks very sharply. In other words, in winter, the absence of extreme cold is far more important than the presence of mildness.

5/5. The absence of cold winters is the most important factor for me in determining how I grade a climate. Any months with <30F average highs and the climate gets a D at best.

2/5 for me, I can tolerate a wide variety of winter temperatures, you can dress for a wide range of temperatures. As long as a climate has a winter and it's not too cold I'm good. My preferred range of average high is from 40-70 F

3/5
I generally prefer continental-style cold winters, but a mild med/subtropical winter would be acceptable.

4/5. Slightly less important than summers because I can embrace comparably wider range. Now I care more on other features such as sunshine hours in winter. Prefer around 100 hours in the cloudiest month by long-term average.

5/5
One of the most important things in a climate, after not being a desert or tundra/ice cap.

5/5
Extremely important. As an avid gardener, I'd be hard pressed to find out that a climate has cold winters (which therefore can kill plants). Frost is my enemy.
