Do your weather preferences correlate with your favorite landscapes?
Is your dream climate a good environment for your favorite kinds of vegetation? For example, if you like tropical climates, do you like tropical rainforest?
Or would your preferred weather produce scenery that is the opposite of what you like? As an example, loving mountains and hating snow, or loving forests and hating rain. Or maybe even loving deserts but longing for rain.
I know we already had a thread like this, but this thread is more broad and includes terrain and other aspects, as well as vegetation.

My favourite climate is Dwb, which is found in North Korea and Northeastern China and my favourite biome is the same found in that exact region, temperate deciduous forest.

I like all temperate to tropical forests and also like that my preferred subtropical climate supports live oaks and some palm trees. More fall colors and snow would be fun but not worth the cold and would look weird with otherwise subtropical forest.
I think most climates can exist in a wide range of terrain. Though one of the more difficult parts is balancing my desire for high summer diurnal range with my desire for a dense city (which inevitably has strong UHI) near the sea.

Yes, obviously correlates 100%.

Correlates 100%. I love the look of tropical vegetation.

I like warm-oceanic climates that could support most of the subtropical growth that most subtropical climates do. I have a certain penchant for tropical savanna and also rainforest landscapes despite not being as fond of those climates as I used to be.

Not really. My dream climate would get good enough vegetation but my favorite vegetation is the taiga which obviously grows in way colder climates than I like.

Somewhat. I like cloud forests in elevated tropical highlands, which lack the ideal seasonal variation or sunshine.

5. Nearly always the same. Dry, scrubby landscapes like LA and southern Spain tend to have my favourite type of climate and vegetation.

BSh/BWh is my favorite landscape
loads of palm trees around and ideally cocos. Difficult to get cocos in very arid areas but doable with year round irrigation.
So basically LA/South Greece/Italy/Spain type of climate

4. I guess my weather preferences match somewhat well with my favorite landscapes.
My favorite landscapes are grasslands and Mediterranean forests, but I also enjoy pine forests and like the look of tropical savannas, as well as potentially many other types of biomes. However, I don't necessarily like scrubby semi-arid landscapes as much, although they can be good too.
I tend to prefer temperate, warm, dry climates. So overall, they fit decently well, even though my preferred landscapes are a bit wetter than my preferred climates.

I don't think there is a direct connection. In general, I like to be near a body of water.

So basically LA/South Greece/Italy/Spain type of climate None of those climates can grow coconut palms. Also, they're mostly Mediterranean or semiarid, not very arid as you say. If you want an arid climate with coconut palms, it's gotta be a coastal tropical desert like Dubai.

We currently have the outdoor surviving coco in Lindos and I think coastal Kastellorizo and Kasos might stand a chance. Obviously with good irrigation and strong protection the first few years.
