If everything goes as planned (which is very likely), this is where I'll be moving to soon. I'll rate it after my first winter there.

C-. Mediocre summers with boring cold winters, though it could be a lot worse. Better than the old London though.
P.S. Hope your move/work works out for you

C-, worse than the OG London. Winters are too cold, mediocre summers are nothing special

D, shitty
Basically a warmer, less snowy, and less interesting version of my climate.

D for definitely not subtropical, more like subarctic with those spring averages, New England does have pretty forests, reliable Democratic voters and pretty towns to be fair though.

And last I heard, this is a climate battle, not a battle for which political orientation you like or don't like.

C-, too chilly and laggy even though it isn't very cold. Rainfall pattern and snow is okay, could be far worse, like inland, again far from ideal. Just kinda meh all around.

Snowfall for example is extremely variable winter to winter there, a winter may see 5" or 50" of snow, as are temps, winter as a whole can average 46ยบF/33ยบF or 36ยบF/23ยบF there in a given winter which are obviously very different and would certainly vary my rating greatly. You'd need to give it many winters there to ascertain how things feel, unless you happen to get an average one in your first year.

Yes, but I still get a feel for the climate and would know whether it were warmer/colder/wetter/drier than average. For example, if it were above average, it would still be much easier to extrapolate what "average" might feel like compared to not experiencing a cold winter for a while and even Seattle winters being mild compared to this.
