Banana, QLD and Orange, NSW are both places in inland eastern Australia that have a fruity name. However, neither are named after their respective fruits. Banana is named after a bullock, and Orange is named after the Prince of Orange. We may not be able to compare apples and oranges, but we can try to do so for bananas and oranges! Banana, QLD (data taken from Biloela, 46 km to the east) Orange, NSW

Qrange is officially a COAC ( c*#t of a climate ) in the AU psyche... cold as buggery AND one of the very few cities in AU that sees the odd snowfalls every winter. Even in summer it has very chilly mins and large diurnals I've driven through/stayed there many times over the years ( its on the main route Darwin to Sydney ) and its never been warm... lol. So Banana gets the vote.

Banana because it's not a cünt of a climate and I'd get to grill with beercules there.
Almost has the same absolute minimum temp as Orange though which is a little concerning.

Actually, Orange is too cold to grow oranges... lol... but they do grow apples and cherries commercially in the district.
