next afternoon went to part of Ecola I skipped. started a little later than I had planned because of rain most of the day extremely muddy, stream on the trail that wasn't as bad on the return as things were very slowly drying next went to cape falcon in osvald west park and walked in extremely forest to a brief viewpoint. almost no one on the trail, weather turned away people. same parking lot was kinda busy the next day jungly forest on the way there not quite Olympic peninsula rainforest but close finally a view not much spots to look out not sure what these flowers are but they're everywhere on the coast some brief views on the way back. waves were loud took a different way back and stopped another beach 9:19 pm

osvald west the next day. not really a hike, just a short walk from a roadside pullout. surf still roaring post storm but sky finally blue then hiked Neahkahnie Mountain then a long (over an hour) drive down the coast to cape lookout. again too much forest, people said it had lots of mud but it was nothing compared to previous days. part I was used to mud, part was drying out. point was really nice

nei nice pics of Ecola...been there a few times myself. I didn't know you went there or the Gorge in June. I just wasn't on the forum much (partly from being busy traveling + working), was a short tripping hopping all over the place and didn't feel like explaining at the time. I think I mentioned in the shoutbox a couple times when I was there

High 29.5C in Riga and sunny today. This is probably the warmest day this week, too bad it is Tuesday... Ferris wheel is constructed in the park where the Soviet occupation memorial was demolished two years ago, a half is done:

Feels like Christmas is just around the corner 🎄 how does that feel wintry? I may have been exaggerating, slightly. It felt more like Halloween 🎃 I want to drink some Super Bock now. So do I and it's not even 9am yet.

Catfish Lake the afternoon of July 16th. Another picture perfect summer afternoon, temps were in the lower 90s with dewpoints around 80°F, if I were to hazard a guess. ,

local photos rather than old photos from out west. from a week ago; sunken forest on fire island. not particularly common coastal barrier island forest, protected by dunes wonder if it has similarities to barrier island forests further south tommyFL Benfxmth

part of Broadway has turned car-free: just outdoor dining and a bike path. not loud; wish more streets in manhattan were like that. thought I'd post some city pics for variety. pedestrians in the bike lane, opposite of Cheeseman 's issues; common in manhattan bicyclists using the bike path nice potted plants nice building on the corner
