Differences? One has colder lows all year round with more 'oceanic' elements, and the other has a classic Mediterranean rainfall pattern that is more semi-arid influenced.

Canberra is better in every way possible except (maybe) snow. Iโve seen some pics of big snowstorms in Jerusalem

Jerusalem, despite the inferior precipitation pattern, wins as it is warmer year-round.

Jerusalem. Too little summer precipitation, but is sunnier and has better lows

I don't mind Jerusalem's climate..... Canberra is OK sorta, just that I don't think I've ever been there on a hot day, always needed a jumper.

Jerusalem of course. Perfect temps and good precipitation pattern. Also speaking from personal experience it's a lot drier than the Israeli coast and it feels very dry.

Canberra is better in every way possible except (maybe) snow. Iโve seen some pics of big snowstorms in Jerusalem Yeah Ariete was wrong. I'm sure Jerusalem gets a lot more snow than Canberra. iirc greysrigging telling me Canberra gets non-accumulating snow every winter, not sure if it accumulates or not. Jerusalem has gotten notable accumulating snowstorms recently, like January 2022 when supposedly 8" accumulated. 2013 alone had accumulating snow in both January and December, with even higher accumulations.

I'm gonna step back from my med wanking tendencies on this one and vote Canberra.
Cooler nights with more winter chill. Much better temps overall.

Difficult choice, but I went with Canberra, a bit too cool but less sunny with wetter summers
