Ulladulla 2024 April Summary:June, although near-average in temperature ( -0.2ºC / -0.1ºC) and sun hours ( +18.6 hrs); was the 4th wettest since 1994 ( 235% norm). The beginning saw 1 month's rainfall being recorded in 3 days; intermixed with drizzle events, some sunshine and the warmest night of the month (12.9ºC on the 8th). This was succeeded with a mixture of showers and sunshine, with the coolest night (6.4ºC on the 20th). The end of June was relatively mild and quite sunny (resulting in two maxes exceeding 20ºC on the 25th/26th); with a sudden cold change on the 30th (lowest max 12.9ºC on the 30th). June 2024 was one of the best months I've ever experienced. It featured a 15-day rainless streak which was accompanied by some notable heat (for June standards) and what felt like incessant stretches of sunshine. The duration of heat was also notable, perhaps more so than the intensity, as 11 consecutive days of 90ºF+ highs were recorded. The average temperature ended up being closer to a normal July than a normal June, and rainfall was scant at just 27% of normal making for the driest month of the year so far.

I prefer the Airport station for not being in the UHI and measuring sunshine, though this time I include also the Westend station, located in a large park. The city can be quite a bit wetter than the airport and should better represent the precipitation of my location.  |

June was largely awful & only came in around average due to a few warm days towards the end of the month. It was however quite dry, with below average rainfall for the first time in months. Sunshine was around average.
