Slightly warmer and wetter than average. A very nice first month here. My desire for east coast type summers only grew. At first, the humidity took some getting used to, but now dew points around 20c or even a little over feel quite pleasant, if it's not too hot. The more humid air feels nice to breathe and keeps my skin moist. The warm lows here have been very nice as I never needed a sweater unlike on the west coast. And I like how changeable the weather is compared to the way too sunny summers in SLO. A difference between east and west coast climates not shown on the weather boxes is how it the intensity of rain can change very quickly here, it could be not raining, then raining hard for a few minutes, then raining lightly, etc. 20-25c rain feels relaxing to me, and I like that everything is green and lively in summer, with fireflies, more diverse birds, etc. This climate still needs more thunderstorms, though. It only gets about 20 a year, and many aren't good quality.

Ulladulla 2024 July Summary:July was an unremarkable month: with somewhat milder temps ( 0.0ºC / +0.4ºC) and decent sun hours ( +2.1 hrs). However, the month was the 8th wettest since 1994 ( 171% norm). The beginning saw 1 month's rainfall being unloaded in 2 days; along with the lowest monthly minimum (6.6ºC on the 1st) and monthly minimum (13.1ºC on the 2nd). The middle saw consistently average temperatures, without much rainfall and above average sunshine. Like with June, the month concluded with a few foehn wind days (resulting in a maximum of 23.6ºC on the 25th and a minimum of 13.1ºC on the 26th); along with many dry, sunny dominated by southwesterlies. July certainly was an odd one. It started very cool, but after the first week stabilised to ridiculous levels, being a bit warmer almost every day but with no extremes. The last 3 weeks were incredibly monotonous, with virtually the same semi-oceanic weather every day. This led to a drier than average month, while also being gloomier and more humid, and the lows were remarkably high compared to the highs. Very weird July. The record low was 12.1C, which is the highest record low recorded in Turku in July since at least 1959. Old record was 11.8C in 1988.
Highest high: 27.2C (23rd) Highest low: 18.4C (27th) Lowest high: 18.3C (5th) Lowest low: 12.1C (10th) <--- NEW ALL-TIME RECORD
Anomalies from 91-20,
High: -0.1C Mean: +0.9C Low: +1.9C Precipitation: -24 mm (68%) Sunshine: -66 h (78%)
Hope August offers something more interesting in terms of day-to-day weather.

What a great month. With solid temps and plenty of sunshine, July was the embodiment of what a good summer month is. It had a 2 week-long heatwave, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Most of the month felt really dry, with a 17-day long rainless period (2nd to 18th of July). Then the real drought buster came with a 78 mm/3" accumulation in one day, causing floods in some parts of the city, and also making this month the wettest month this year so far. But it was not so rainy, since it only had 6 days of rain. For most of the country, this month was the hottest month on record. For Zagreb, it was the hottest July on record (Aug 2003 remains the hottest month on record).
And it was the hottest month on record for Split, narrowly beating July 2015 ( 33.8C/29.5C/25.2C ):

That month in Split also makes subarctic Raw-me's summers (especially that average low) pathetic af by comparison, and it's at a higher latitude and just a few hundred miles east 👍

0.2F warmer than normal (highs below avg/lows above avg). Airport was 0.70" wetter than normal, but much of the area was wetter than the airport. I got quite a bit more rainfall than the airport with 11.38". The airport missed out on some storms, especially one on July 5 which I got 3.74" from. High temps well below average the 4th week of the month with frequent rainfall/overcast conditions. Didn't get much from Hurricane Beryl locally but numerous tornadoes in northwest LA. Data for my PWS. CoCoRaHS gauge had 11.10".

July, in my area and on the west coast. The temperature was above average. Precipitation - the things were usual until the end of the month when it rained 66 mm on the 28th and 52 mm on the 29th. At the same time, rainfall was normal on the coast, only slightly above average. In my area there were about 232 hours of sunshine in July.
