That pic makes Derby look waaaay better than it actually is... lol In reality it is ya bog stock WA remote outback shithole c/w a feral climate and feral inhabitants.... Having said that, we ( a construction crew at a lead, silver zinc mine ) would drive an 800klm round trip just to have a night on the piss in Derby.... go figure....   So yeah, a tough climate, Derby, WA.... but still shits over any Pommy climate. Derby, UK - cold climate, warm beer. Derby, WA - warm climate, cold beer..... So the vote ain't rocket science....haha |

UK by a bit - about half of the year is comfortable vs maybe 3 months in the Australian climate and it isn't semi-arid. Winters would be cozy if cold and sun-starved.
Of course neither climate is good.

Australian one. Way too hot yes, but at least it will support tropical (and subtropical) plants for avid gardeners. Its "cool" season is also still more summery than the feeble British climate. 😂
