Journey around the world (NH only). I have included 22 climates with +- 0.3 °C deviation from Frankfurt's mean temp (11.4 °C). We start at Japan's east coast. Japan's west coast is significantly warmer at the same latitude, hence we go further north. Inland Korean peninsula, we enter the monsoon region.
Dalian, China is already significantly drier.
Even drier further to the southwest.
Now an almost 3000 km jump to far western China. Bishkek, at the other side of the mountains. No more monsoonal influence there.
Extreme continentality in the Khazak steppe. Just north of the Caucasus mountains. Inland Crimea. Pannonian climate in western Romania. Much wetter further west near the Alps. Transitional climate between oceanic and continental.
Lille is fully oceanic. Plymouth even more so. Big jump across the Atlantic. Cloudier and snowier at the Great Lakes. Winters are becoming drier further west. Even drier in Omaha. Very high diurnal ranges in Colorado (I have added sunshine from nearby Pueblo). Another big jump almost to the west coast. Now we have a oceanic climate with mediterranean precipitation pattern. Extreme moderation on the coast.

Omaha. Best summers out of these and I'm thinking perhaps also the best quality storms.

I pick my own climate (kind of) Providence for having great summers and for getting enough precip and winter sun. Dalian isn't bad either.

Ljubljana for me. Omaha and Chuncheon also are very good.

Eureka just nabs top spot, with Plymouth a close second.

Nice climate battle. Eugene is by far the best, it's the warmest of the bunch and has the best rainfall pattern. Quite rainy in winter and dry in summer

Peoria. Omaha is a close second but loses points due to its dry winters.

Eugene. Best mix of mild winters, summers with some warmth, and ample rainfall.

Cañon City by far, basically an upgraded Fort Collins.

Lille. The climates that have cold winters are very dry in winter, or too hot in summer, or something else is wrong. So I'll pick one with mild summers and mild winters...winters that aren't right around freezing like many of these. Possibly even Portsmouth for the milder winters but summer looks too moderated there.
Noshiro is another interesting one. I don't know if I would like that much wet snow and slush all the time though.
