Obviously inspired by Donar 's thread. I'll do 20 climates + New Bern with an annual mean temp +-0.5°F (0.3°C) of New Bern's, in other words in the 62.2-63.2°F (16.8-17.3°C) range. This is only for NH, and highland climates in the tropics are also excluded. You may vote for the top 3 best out of these if you'd like We'll start the journey in, of course, New Bern and go west from there: For those who want similar precip annually, but not a summer precip peak and with a slightly larger seasonal amplitude, Memphis might work out: About as far west as you can go before the transition to dry climates. Clarksville, TX: Things drastically dry out west of around -100° longitude. Roswell, NM: A North American Monsoon-influenced somewhat elevated climate in AZ. Oracle: If you want fairly similar temps and precip but cooler lows and a Med precip pattern, Stockton, CA: Not far from Redding. The unincorporated community of Whiskeytown, CA. If you like a lot of winter rain: Comfort wankers' paradise. Santa Barbara, CA: Going to Asia, we'll start off with the metropolis of Osaka in Japan: Sasebo has a more defined summer precip peak: Kochi, Japan. Wettest of the non-elevated climates with the annual mean temps: A faster spring warmup in Wuhan but a bit colder winters: Rucheng, China: If you hate summer heat but prefer a summer precip peak, the municipality of Fengqing might work out for you: Khorramabad, Iran: Isfahan, Iran. Driest out of the bunch: Sheberghan, Iran. Hottest summers and coldest winters of the bunch. Data is rather old though: Safed, Israel. A Levantine Med climate with a strong wet winter/dry summer contrast: İslahiye, Turkey: The most poleward of these. Split, Croatia: A classic European Med climate: Brindisi, Italy.

Memphis. Slightly better than New Bern as it likely gets more temperature swings. New Bern is second and its precip pattern is superior to Memphis'.

Some are good, others are meh. I think I'll go with Clarksville out of these FWIW. Average temps/dews/precip not too dissimilar to here or Memphis but has higher record maxima than both.

^^ Annoying summer precip minimum though. Not a fan of that pattern given the heat it gets.

New Bern, Split, Brindisi in no particular order. Fengqing is a very close fourth. All are good, but if only Montevideo was a choice

Whiskeytown for being the rainiest of the Mediterranean options. This was a tough choice though, there are 3 other climates that qualify as A+ here, but Whiskeytown had the best combo of warm spring highs and a lot of rain.

Whiskeytown would be my 2nd option, but for me I reckon it has too much rain. Also Islahiye's winters are marginally better in terms of temperature too.

Memphis, Clarksville and İslahiye are my favourites.

Fengqing - cooler summers than most of the other options, but the high winter sunshine, year-round pleasant temps and storms make up for it.
