And for a fair comparison, the 1971-2020 POR for Serres has an annual mean over 2°F cooler than what OP posted, most certainly another nonsense station placement rather than AGW-induced warming Its actually 1971-2010 not 1971-2020 and its a 40 year POR including the 70's which have been cold as fuck summers in Greece. Station placement is decent. Ground station in a grassy area.  By that logic, the latest hot summers are also throwing the averages off so we shouldn't be using the weatherbox you originally supplied. Actual average maximums in the hottest month are probably around 33C. |

Nah for a proper 30 year POR it should be close to 35.0C since the past 15 years or so Greece has seen very hot summers.
Sandanski is already 33.6C in August for 30 year POR and seeing Serres is at a much lower elevation I reckon its already at least 35.0C
