Similar latitudes, but one has extreme heat, and the other has heavy rain. What do you prefer?

Both are awful but I choose life (Sittwe). A case of an F climate vs an F- climate.

I’d be shocked if someone didn’t choose Sittwe

"Sittwe" means winter in my language. A far from a wintry climate though. Still muggy and oppressive, but not lethal like Mecca.

Sitwe is the plural, the singular is sitwa ܣܬܘܵܐ. Am I wrong? In general Arabic words with s correspond to sh in Hebrew and Aramaic, and Arabic sh corresponds to s in these 2 languages.

Sittwe, I don't like the extreme wet/dry season contrast but at least it gets rain.

Mecca has 5 bad months and Sittwe has 6 bad months, so Mecca wins this horrific battle.

Tricky battle. Mecca gets 5 months of average highs around 110°F (I love heat, but that's overdoing it a bit) with next to no rain, but Sittwe gets more rain in an average July than an entire year here.
Probably Sittwe assuming it gets a metric ton of storms with those gigantic rain totals.

I forgot to mention, but Sittwe is also literally on an island and extremely susceptible to strong tropical cyclones, not to mention the intense regular monsoon. So that is another resounding reason I’m not picking it. If you pick Sittwe have fun getting swept away in a storm surge or fucked by wind-driven debris.
