A climate battle of the states that will be crucial in deciding the 2024 US Presidential election. I used the capitals instead of the largest cities because Carson City is a pretty unique climate for this battle and I can see a couple members choosing it. In order of increasing annual mean temperature: Madison, WI: Lansing, MI: Carson City, NV: Harrisburg, PA: Raleigh, NC: Atlanta, GA: Phoenix, AZ:

Atlanta and Phoenix are the best ones out of these, voted the former since I'm more familiar with that kind of climate

Atlanta easily the best of this bunch. Ideal temps here, even if summer is too wet.
Happy to live in a place where my vote matters.

Raleigh wins slightly. Summer is nasty but Harrisburgโs July and august arenโt that much better and its winters are significantly worse. Raleigh beats out Atlanta for more reliable snowfall. Carson City is just too dry the warm half of the year and gets very few storms.

Atlanta, but none are very good. Wish Florida made the list so I could vote for an actual subtropical climate.

Hesitated between Lansing and Carson City, both have similar mean temps in midsummer. Overall Lansing feels properly seasonal in its progression, with moderate diurnal ranges and far from being arid. So I decided to choose the former.

Raleigh, slightly better than Atlanta due to lower lows.

I choose them in order, almost. Carson City is so dry it moves down a few spots.
Madison is best, followed closely by Lansing Then Harrisburg
Then I can't decide between Carson City and Raleigh. Carson city has better temps, but it's way too dry. I think I'll pick Raleigh, Atlanta, Carson City. But if you ask me tomorrow i might pick Carson City, Raleigh, Atlanta. Raleigh gets a little more summer rain (more storms?) and more cool/cold weather in winter. It's interesting that Raleigh and Atlanta have the same extreme record temperatures.
Phoenix is the worst by far.

Begrudgingly Phoenix for the warmer winters.
