Both are somewhat inland places on the 31' latitude or so. One is Mediterranean with somewhat cool lows, and the other is an intense humid subtropical climate that can see the odd snow once in a while.

Waco for more rain and more variable winters. Summer temps and humidity are oppressive though

Waco because it has more rain and hotter, more humid summers.

York is less offensive. Abysmal precipitation pattern but I’ll take dry heat in summer over 5 months of hotter temps with high humidity while still being arid.

Tough one. York has better temps, but Waco has better rainfall.
I choose Waco for more intense-style rainfall

Both ok... but the chance of those Texan 'blue northers' in the winter months made me pick York, WA

Both ok... but the chance of those Texan 'blue northers' in the winter months made me pick York, WA I think they're pretty rare down there though

The February 2021 cold outbreak was one big anomoly mind you, it really was a once-in-a-generation event.
