Far NW Florida, crazily long distance away from Miami, both winter-wise and distance-wise. Coastal at 30°N but still a record low of -15°C D for me. Similar to my climate's rating due to the too hot and wet hurricane-hit summers. Shoulder seasons and winter seem very comfy however

Pensacola is actually very far from being a tropical climate Its January mean is 11.7°C whereas a tropical climate is required to have a 18°C mean. This is like comparing Shetland's summers to those in SE England! But yes, its summers are atrocious. Miami moves way north that time of the year

The summers are the definition of tropical, though.

Don't know. I've never been to Pensacola.
Anyways, I give Pensacola an F+, D- on a good year.

Grade E. At least the avg temps from late-October to late-April are pleasant in my standard. They have an about double amount of precipitation than what I'm calling for the ideal.

D-. Too boring and wet with miserable summers. Winter is at least pleasant and somewhat variable though.

D-. Too boring and wet with miserable summers. Winter is at least pleasant and somewhat variable though. I agree that winters look rather exciting. As individual months I'd rather spend winter in Central FL, but over a full year it would be a significant improvement on especially South FL, but roughly equal to say Tampa and Daytona for me

D
The summers are too warm and humid but the winters prevent it from being a complete fail. The panhandle can get pretty chilly during the winter.

I was there in Feb of 2015 and the days were sunny with high temps of mid 50's and lows in the mid 30's. Certainly not tropical, but not typical philly winter either.

I never really know what to give these subtropical climates with summers that are way too hot/humid for my liking... I'll say a C- because it has six months or so of really good outdoor weather in the winter.

It seems like a good place to rest from the cold in winter and arguably the best possible Florida allround climate, but not the typical Snowbird resort
