I think we should do something like having the NH snow pics in the current "NH Winter Thread" but to change the name to "NH Winter Snow Photo Thread" from pictures of snowy or frosty environments while having the SH summer and more oceanic/subtropical/tropical pictures in a separate "SH Summer/NH Green Winter Thread" or something? What do you think about that proposal?

Keep them the same, southern hemisphere users barely upload photos, so I'm not sure it wouldn't be worth setting up a separate thread IMO.

One NH Winter and one SH Summer photo thread sounds so simple, if there are enough photos from the SH to have a viable thread that is.
It's pretty weird to suggest that pictures of Skipton in January belong more with Renmark than they do with Turku.

The whole point for me in the seadonal photo threads is comparing how everybody's same season differs, not cirklejerking a bunch of snow pictures. I think it would be atrocious to bit have all winter pics in the same thread.

I think the photo threads should be merged. There isn't many SH members and a SH photo thread will hardly see any activity or replies. The SH weather discussion thread is barely keeping afloat as it is.
Or, rather, why not have a single general photography thread where we post photos of our towns, weather, nature, bugs, anything really? We don't have the membership to sustain separate threads atm. Having a single thread will allow much more interaction and commentary within the existing membership.

I agree, we don't have idiots like ghost-likin spamming pictures of the equivalent of Mt Buller and being surprised that it snows there. I might actually post a picture of my street if it turns into a river following this rain event lol.

Well we already have a non-weather photography thread in the Chat section, so one single weather photos thread for everybody seems to be the best way to do things seeming as there aren't many people from the SH to make a SH thread viable.

I've changed the title of the thread in the Chat section to Non-Weather Photos Thread, we'll see how that goes, eh?

I changed the title of the NH Winter Photo Thread to include the SH Summer as well, any photos with no obvious connection to weather can go in the other photo thread in the Chat section.
