I'm honestly kind of stuck. I like that Iran has warmer/hotter summers, however both regions are very humid, so I think I might like Turkey's mild summers more. Then there is the abysmal sunshine in both regions. Most of them can't even break 2,000 hours. I think I'll go with Turkey.

Northern Turkey. Sinop and Samsun have the best climate in the region.

Northern Iran looks a bit more continental, so I choose that.

Donโt feel like checking all the various climates. Put me down for whichever ones dryer. Gorgan in Northern Iran is the driest with 601 mm (23.661") of precipitation, it also happens to be the sunniest, but not by much only 2,107.3 hrs of sunshine, but very sunny winters relatively speaking, 132.8 hrs in December. It's also very hot 32.7C (90.9F) average high in August. But Samsun in Northern Turkey is not far off either. 706.3mm (27.807") of precipitation, 1,853.9 hrs of sunshine and an August average high of 27.0C (80.6F).
