We're having a scorching Christmas Eve (37C) followed by a cool stormy Xmas (26C).
New Year seems mild and pleasant at 24-27C (phew).

All of a sudden it could possibly reach 40C on Christmas Eve, and even the 25th is looking like being in the 30's according to the latest GFS!!!

GFS is flip flopping around like a politician, now it's trying to bring the southerly cancer back. 850 temps for the 24th are a full 10C colder than in the last run.

Barely above freezing drizzle like the past three months. At least it can only get better from here.

yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/most_of_finland_set_for_a_white_christmas/9991673Most of Finland set for a white ChristmasFinland is set to bask in a blanket of snow for Christmas, with most of the country enjoying a traditional white yuletide. The holiday weekend is set to kick off with a band of snow, sleet and rain moving across the country to the east on Saturday, ensuring a white Christmas for most of the country. Just the far south-west will avoid the white stuff, with precipitation there largely sleet and rain. "Based on current information the worst of the showers will have cleared away to the east by Saturday evening," said Yle meteorologist Joonas Koskela. "On Christmas Eve there could still be showers in the east and centre of the country."

Current NWS forecast is for 27/15 (-3/-11 C) with morning snow. A bit on the cool side but pretty good.
Should be a decent snow pack as itโs supposed to snow each day until then.
