A climate with a long, white Christmas, as per namesake. It has a population of around 100,000 and is located by the sea at 64'N. How would you rate it?

Perhaps unlucky to miss out on an E- but that climate looks absolutely atrocious, like the very worst type of Northern Sweden...

E-. Shithouse. An insult to Christmas, Jesus, God, and all the Herald Angels.

winter and shoulder seasons are almost perfect. but summer is too weak, and it doesn't get enough precipitation.

D-. Typical Arctic Russian climate? I would visit there sometime from May to October.
Edit: I think it's more of D category than E.

F+. Too cold year round but at least itโs not extreme.
The precipitation pattern sucks though. Summer is so cool AND itโs the wettest time of year with lots of precipitation days to ruin the only time of year decent for the outdoors.

Z---------. Where to start
1) 1656 sunshine hours? Wtf?? That's like fucking London, when I think of Christmas morning I think of gleaming snow under a distant December sun, not fucking London
2) Only 3 inches of rain in August...but 17 rainy days? Wtf? Sounds like disgusting drizzly crap, hate that
3) Snowfall is not too bad, I think Binghamton even gets more inches per year lol, buuuut what's up with snow in May and September?
4) Those Julys are like my ideal Novembers
5) Winters are like Moscow except somehow even colder and cloudier. Been there done that, don't want to that again. Z

The Scandinavian tradition involves Lucia who on the 13th brings light in the darkness, and there's a lot of emphasis on candles and stuff all throughout December. And it's very cozy with a dark christmas I think.

Nah, a typical Arctic Russian climate is much colder than this. Yes, Murmansk has far cooler summers than this. Having said that, if Arkhangelsk counts, it's slightly more continental than this one but at 64ยฐN also, and has rather similar Junes and August to Christmasville, albeit that climate is wetter. Winters will have a lot in common too, although January is somewhat colder in Arkhangelsk.

winter and shoulder seasons are almost perfect. but summer is too weak, and it doesn't get enough precipitation. B+ Pretty much this. Same grade for the same exact seasons. I also agrees with AW that this climate is too warm for 64 N. I modeled this fictional town after Anchorage, AK, hence the precipitation pattern. Anchorage is located at 61.5'N and averages 2.9'C annually. This climate is located at 64'N and averages 1.5'C annually. Not too unrealistic I think. Any climate on a plain near the NW coast of a large continent on a Earth-like planet near the Arctic Circle is going to have this kind of climate. For more evidence of this climate's realism, just look at Oulu, Sweden. It is basically speaking a warmer version of what I have here and it is at 65'N, one degree to the north of this climate.

I wasn't trying to say it was unrealistic, more too warm for my tastes for 64 N.

I would much prefer in the climate was more continental with slightly warmer summers however its still close to what I'd like as an ideal climate. So I'll rate this climate as a D.

Posted on my 25th birthday, this climate gets an F. Technically it has never seen 90'F on record and qualifies for the automatic F, as 32'C is only 89.6'F. Can't say it's any good on its own merits besides that, either, with its sub-room-temperature summers and Northern Wisconsin-like frigid winters. Those subfreezing record lows in summer are inexcusable. With only 1,656 sunshine hours for the year, this climate is as gloomy as I am during the Christmas season.

D Too cold, especially in the transition seasons and summer. Perhaps temperatures in this place are only recorded to the nearest half degree Celsius, and it was actually 32.24C. But that's probably overanalyzing it.
