The Mongol empire was divided into 4 divisions which latter became independent Khanates. In this battle we will be comparing the capitals of these 4 divisions, some of them have moved their capitals over time so I will pick the one that has a climate table, or some of them no longer exist so I will provide the closest cities in that case. Yuan Dynasty: Khanbaliq (Beijing)Chagatai Khanate: QarshiIlkhanate: TabrizGolden Horde: Sarai Batu (between Astrakhan and Volgograd)

Hmm Tabriz out of a bad bunch of über-continentals

None are very appealing, but Volograd seems to be the lesser of evils.

Never thought I'd rate Beijing in a climate battle. It's the best by a fair margin actually, mostly because of not being too dry, and having joint highest sunshine and really quick spring warm ups (and winters are made warmer by the strong sunshine). And the summers aren't that much hotter than the others, and isn't even the hottest really

Tabriz narrowly beats Astrakhan. None of them are worse than a C though.

Tabriz. Actually it's a really nice four-season climate, a slightly improved NYC

All of them are a bit sub-par, but I'll go with Tabriz.

I went with Tabriz too. Beijing has the better temps, but the humidity in summer is just too much and would probably feel "hotter" than Tabriz.

Volgograd
Cold/snowy winters and warm/dry summers with high sunshine hours. Pretty close to my dream climate.

Beijing for excellent summers and pleasant, if not calm winters. Volgograd would be a 2nd choice but it's too dry in summer.
