Terrace, British Columbia is almost identical to Oslo when it comes to average temps. Terrace: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrace,_British_Columbia Oslo: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/OsloWe also have: Khanty Mansiysk, Russia and Thompson, Manitoba Portland, Oregon and Rimini Norilsk and Inuvik Reykjavik and Ushuaia Gambell, Alaska and Longyearbyen Juneau and Førde, Norway Prince Rupert, British Columbia and Bergen, Norway Tenerife and San Diego

^Well, Terrace is almost twice as wet as Oslo. Bergen is also somewhat warmer than Prince Rupert. Bergen based on 1961-90 is very similar to Prince Rupert 1981-2010. So maybe Florø 1981-2010 is very similar to Prince Rupert in the same years. Juneau: I have looked for more updated data for Norway. It seems Namsos town 200 km NNW of Trondheim really is a twin of Juneau in those same years. Namsos comes in at mean annual 5.3C using 1971-2000 (see "klimaprofil Nord-Trøndelag" cms.met.no/site/2/klimaservicesenteret/klimaprofiler/klimaprofil-nord-tr%C3%B8ndelag/_attachment/12033?_ts=15dcb37f736) , so should be very close to Juneau temp wise in 1981-2010 (5.6C). Also at nearly 1400 mm annualy (Namsos is much wetter than Trondheim) also close to Juneau's precip, and the monthly temps I also expect to be very similar, might actually be extremely similar month for month if we had Namsos 1981-2010. Even the nature looks pretty similar around those two towns, although mountains near Juneau are higher. Namsos is one of the very northernmost places with temps on FlamingGalahs map of highs/lows in Europe.

I don't think London is similar to anywhere outside of Europe. The PNW locations are too wet or too cold in winter to be decent matches.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is also quite similar to Alta , although Alta is much dryer and probably less sunny. The summer rainfall is almost the same though.

Seattle is an exact match for temperatures, but it's much wetter and probably about 200 hrs sunnier. Portsmouth and Vancouver or Victoria are a much better match.

NYC and Fukushima are quite close, though quite different. Fraternal twins maybe....
Fukushima is slightly warmer, with a January mean of 35° vs NYC’s 33° and an August mean of 79° vs NYC’s July mean of 78°.
NYC is much sunnier with evenly distributed precipitation. Fukushima has a pronounced wet season, but ultimately averages the same amount of precipitation as NYC, however Fukushima averages 3x more snow than NYC.

I should have known but Asahikawa and Moncton are incredibly similar. The major differences are, in order of magnitude of difference: 1) Asahikawa is substantially snowier, despite Moncton's almost double precipitation in the cold months and essentially identical temperatures. 2) Moncton is much sunnier in the winter than Asahikawa, and throughout the year except for March and April. Even then the difference is minimal. 3) Asahikawa has slightly warmer summers, on average. Not extremely significant though.

Paris is more like Seattle. It doesn't resemble Portland at all.
