So my plan with this is to find which major city in each US state + DC has the best climate according to the WWF electorate The plan is as follows: To avoid unnecessary climate battles between cities that will take months and months on end wear people out, I'll have an introductory "playoff round" like the regular season in any professional sports league. So I'll rapid-fire out two per day and keep the voting open until Sunday evening and then the first Last 16 runoff will start on Monday! This is therefore the initial 12 city-batch of the westernmost "largest cities in states" so to speak. Vote for the four cities you feel like deserve to go through to the Last 16 one-on-one duels Since this is the one that covers the largest land area, the following cities will have the advantage of being one fewer than the other three parts of the United States since 13*4=52 and won't fit in with 51. Since Colorado has the easternmost point of the 13 states under consideration it will instead be in the Midwest division. Since it's so diverse I'll expect this to be a very interesting "primary". Make sure you vote for four climates, so that there's a sizeable tally of votes I'll give my votes to LA, Portland, Albuquerque and Seattle. Now, what about you? Alaska: AnchorageArizona: PhoenixCalifornia: Los Angeles (downtown)Idaho: BoiseHawaii: HonoluluMontana: HelenaNew Mexico: AlbuquerqueNevada: Las VegasOregon: PortlandUtah: Salt Lake CityWashington: SeattleWyoming: Cheyenne

Great idea for a thread!
There's too big a variety of climates to find four that are really my kind of thing, but I'll go for Portland, Boise, Seattle, Cheyenne.

Yeah, I've yet to decide what to do if a tiebreaker occurs though but we'll see if that occurs I guess Might just consult the shoutbox for "first response wins"...

Actually, I changed my vote from Boise to Helena. Unlike in normal election, you're fully entitled to do so I was a bit surprised you didn't vote for Helena in the first place lol!

LA, Honolulu, Vegas, Portland
Albuquerque narrowly lost out to Portland due to the very cold winter nights.

For maritime standards: Anchorage There is nothing there that fits my inland standards, so buggery to that

As you wish, Swedecuck Voted them in! Happy? Yeah. More Whaler-friendly climates are coming up shortly As for Salt Lake City - I figured you'd like the colder winter lows better than Boise. They're essentially carbon copies of one another though.

They're essentially carbon copies of one another though. This is what my A+ inland climate looks like, by the way. It also gets frequent fog owing to high elevation – easily over 70 days anually, mostly pronounced in winter. Frequent thunderstorms and cold fronts/heat waves to keep it exciting, too; just look at its weatherzone forecast!
